Effects of Synectics Instructional Model on Learning Achievement and Creative Writing Ability of Grade 11 Student

Abstract

The purposes of this research were 1) to develop Thai language lesson plans by using synectics instructional model which develop the learning achievement and creative writing ability of grade 11 students to meet the criteria of 80/80; 2) to compare the learning achievement of grade 11 students before and after treatment; 3) to compare the creative writing ability of grade 11 students before and after treatment and; 4) to study the satisfaction of grade 11 students through synectics instructional model. The samples of this research were 34 students from grade 11 of Nachuak Pittayasan School, Nachuak, Mahasarakham, the Secondary Education Service Area Office 26, the second semester-the academic year 2019. The samples were observed by cluster random sampling technique. There were 3 instruments used for collecting data included 1) 12 lesson plans of synectics instructional model which develop creative writing ability of grade 11 students. 2) Two types of aptitude tests for evaluating creative writing ability of grade 11 students; the first one was a multiple-choice test which included 30 items–each item consisted of 5 choices. The difficulty value (p) was 0.27 - 0.65, the discrimination value (B) was 0.27-0.70, and the reliability value was 0.86. Another was a subjective test which included 4 questions. The difficulty value (p) was 0.36 - 0.64, the discrimination value (B) was 0.35–0.65, and the reliability value was 0.89. 3) The five-level rating scale satisfaction questionnaires through synectics instructional model consisted of 15 items. The validity value of the data was 0.79. The statistics used for data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation and t-test (Dependent Sample).

The results of the research revealed that:

1. Thai language lesson plans of creative writing ability for grade 11 students through synectics instructional model met the criteria at 82.92/80.49 of efficiency value.

2. The learning achievement of grade 11 students through Thai language lesson plans of synectics instructional model showed that after treatment, it was significantly higher than before treatment at .05 level.

3. The creative writing ability of grade 11 students through Thai language lesson plans of synectics instructional model showed that after treatment, it was significantly higher than before treatment at .05 level.

4. The grade 11 students were satisfied with Thai language lesson plans of synectics instructional model at the highest level (x̅ = 4.60).

การวิจัยครั้งมีความมุ่งหมายเพื่อ 1) พัฒนาแผนการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้ภาษาไทยโดยการจัดการเรียนรู้แบบซินเนคติกส์ ที่พัฒนาผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียนและความสามารถด้านการเขียนเชิงสร้างสรรค์ของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 ให้มีประสิทธิภาพตามเกณฑ์ 80/80 2) เปรียบเทียบผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียนของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 ก่อนและหลังได้รับการสอนโดยใช้การจัดการเรียนรู้แบบซินเนคติกส์ 3) เปรียบเทียบความสามารถด้านการเขียนเชิงสร้างสรรค์ของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 ก่อนและหลังได้รับการสอนโดยใช้การจัดการเรียนรู้แบบซินเนคติกส์ และ 4) ศึกษาความพึงพอใจของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 ที่มีต่อการจัดการเรียนรู้แบบซินเนคติกส์ กลุ่มตัวอย่างในการวิจัย ได้แก่ นักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 โรงเรียนนาเชือกพิทยาสรรค์ อำเภอนาเชือก จังหวัดมหาสารคาม สำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษามัธยมศึกษา เขต 26 ภาคเรียนที่ 2 ปีการศึกษา 2562 จำนวนนักเรียน 34 คน โดยใช้การสุ่มแบบกลุ่ม (Cluster Random Sampling) เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยมี 3 ชนิด ได้แก่ 1) แผนการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้ภาษาไทยโดยการจัดการเรียนรู้แบบซินเนคติกส์ ที่พัฒนาความสามารถด้านการเขียนเชิงสร้างสรรค์ของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 จำนวน 12 แผน รวมจำนวน 12 ชั่วโมง 2) แบบทดสอบวัดความสามารถการเขียนเชิงสร้างสรรค์ สำหรับนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 จำนวน 2 ชุด คือ แบบปรนัยชนิดเลือกตอบ 5 ตัวเลือก จำนวน 30 ข้อ มีค่าความยากง่าย (p) เท่ากับ 0.27-0.65 ค่าอำนาจจำแนก (B) เท่ากับ 0.27-0.70 และมีค่าความเชื่อมั่นทั้งฉบับเท่ากับ 0.86 และชุดที่ 2 แบบอัตนัยจำนวน 4 ข้อ มีค่าความยากง่าย (p) เท่ากับ 0.36-0.64 ค่าอำนาจจำแนก (B) เท่ากับ 0.35–0.65 และมีค่าความเชื่อมั่น เท่ากับ 0.89 และ 3) แบบสอบถามวัดความพึงพอใจของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 ที่มีต่อการจัดการเรียนรู้แบบซินเนคติกส์ แบบมาตราส่วนประมาณค่า (Rating Scale) 5 ระดับ จำนวน 15 ข้อ มีค่าความเที่ยงตรงเท่ากับ 0.79 สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล ได้แก่ ร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และทดสอบสมมติฐานด้วย t–test (Dependent Sample)

ผลการวิจัยปรากฏดังนี้

1. แผนการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้ภาษาไทยโดยการจัดการเรียนรู้แบบซินเนคติกส์ที่พัฒนาความสามารถด้านการเขียนเชิงสร้างสรรค์ของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 มีประสิทธิภาพ เท่ากับ 82.92/80.49 เป็นไปตามเกณฑ์ที่กำหนด

2. นักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 ที่เรียนโดยใช้แผนการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้ภาษาไทยโดยการจัดการเรียนรู้แบบซินเนคติกส์ มีผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียนหลังเรียนสูงกว่าก่อนเรียนอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05

3. นักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 ที่เรียนโดยใช้แผนการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้ภาษาไทยโดยการจัดการเรียนรู้แบบซินเนคติกส์ มีความสามารถด้านการเขียนเชิงสร้างสรรค์หลังเรียนสูงกว่าก่อนเรียนอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05

4. นักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 มีความพึงพอใจต่อการจัดการเรียนรู้ภาษาไทยแบบซินเนคติกส์ โดยรวมอยู่ในระดับมากที่สุด (x̅ = 4.60)
