Ecotourism Management : A Case Study of Lampao Wildlife and Nature Education Center, Lampao Sub-district, Mueang District, Kalasin Province

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to study tourism management and to discover develop ecotourism development guidelines at Lampao Wildlife and Nature Education Center, Lam Pao Sub-district, Mueang District, Kalasin Province. Data was collected by using a semi-structured interview form. There were 17 people of interviewees, consisting of staffs of Lampao Wildlife and Nature Education Center, local people, tourists, and staffs of Wildlife Conservation Section, Bureau of Conservation Area Services 8

The results of the research are as follows:

1. The ecotourism management of Lampao Wildlife and Nature Education Center, Lam Pao Sub-district, Mueang District, Kalasin Province, there are many kinds of services provided; accommodation, such as, providing accommodation, meeting rooms, and tents for a sufficient amount of tourists; in term of transportation, there is a plan to renovate the entrance of Lampao Wildlife and Nature Education Center; attraction includes nature and rare wildlife in the Lampao Wildlife and Nature Education Center; facilities, such as, informational knowledge signs, and arranging security guards and staff to facilitate tourists; tourism activities are available, for example, trekking activity for nature education which is held every year; and in term of participation, there are calls for cooperation from people in the area and the Bureau of Conservation Area 8.

2. Guidelines for tourism development of the Lampao Wildlife and Nature Education Center, Lam Pao Sub-district, Mueang District, Kalasin Province, there were found in many terms; accommodations should be provided the renovation regularly and should have good public relations; transportation, there should be provided improvement of damaged entrance roads and added bicycle lanes for the convenience of bicycle commuters; the attraction should be improved at the interior landscape and keeping the animal cage clean all the times; in term of facilities, there should be recruiting more staffs to effectively facilitate tourists; tourism activities, for example, providing more activities to support tourism throughout the year; and in term of participation, there should be more calls for cooperation from local people in development of the center.

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีความมุ่งหมายเพื่อศึกษาการจัดการการท่องเที่ยวและศึกษาหาแนวทางพัฒนาการท่องเที่ยวเชิงนิเวศของศูนย์ศึกษาธรรมชาติและสัตว์ป่าลำปาว ตำบลลำปาว อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดกาฬสินธุ์ เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการศึกษา ได้แก่ แบบสัมภาษณ์แบบกึ่งโครงสร้าง (Semi-Structured Interview) ผู้ให้สัมภาษณ์มีจำนวนทั้งสิ้น 17 คน ประกอบด้วย เจ้าหน้าที่ศูนย์ศึกษาธรรมชาติและสัตว์ป่าลำปาว ประชาชนในพื้นที่ นักท่องเที่ยว และเจ้าหน้าที่สังกัดส่วนอนุรักษ์สัตว์ป่าสำนักบริการพื้นที่อนุรักษ์ที่ 8

ผลการวิจัยมีดังต่อไปนี้

1. การจัดการการท่องเที่ยวเชิงนิเวศของศูนย์ศึกษาธรรมชาติและสัตว์ป่าลำปาว ตำบลลำปาว อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดกาฬสินธุ์ ด้านที่พัก ได้แก่ การจัดที่พัก ห้องประชุมและลานกางเต็นท์ได้เพียงพอต่อนักท่องเที่ยวจำนวนมาก ด้านการคมนาคม ได้แก่ การวางแผนการจัดการปรับปรุงทางเข้าศูนย์ศึกษาธรรมชาติและสัตว์ป่าลำปาว ด้านสิ่งดึงดูดใจ ได้แก่ ธรรมชาติและสัตว์ป่าหายากภายในศูนย์ศึกษาธรรมชาติและสัตว์ป่าลำปาว ด้านสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวก ได้แก่ ป้ายให้ความรู้ต่างๆ การจัดเจ้าหน้าคอยรักษาความปลอดภัยและเจ้าหน้าที่ให้ความรู้แก่นักท่องเที่ยว ด้านกิจกรรมการท่องเที่ยว ได้แก่ กิจกรรมเดินป่าศึกษาธรรมชาติ และมีการจัดขึ้นตลอดทุกปี และด้านการมีส่วนร่วม ได้แก่ การขอความร่วมมือจากทั้งประชาชนในพื้นที่และสำนักบริการพื้นที่อนุรักษ์ที่ 8

2. แนวทางการพัฒนาการท่องเที่ยวของศูนย์ศึกษาธรรมชาติและสัตว์ป่าลำปาว ตำบลลำปาว อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดกาฬสินธุ์ ด้านที่พัก ได้แก่ การพัฒนาปรับปรุงที่พักอยู่เสมอและการประชาสัมพันธ์ที่ดี ด้านการคมนาคม ได้แก่ การพัฒนาถนนทางเข้าที่ชำรุดและเพิ่มเลนรถจักรยานเพื่ออำนวยความสะดวกแก่ผู้สัญจรไปมา ด้านสิ่งดึงดูดใจ ได้แก่ การปรับภูมิทัศน์ภายในให้น่าชมและการดูแลรักษาความสะอาดกรงสัตว์เพื่อให้เกิดความสะอาดน่าชม ด้านสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวก ได้แก่ การสรรหาเจ้าหน้าที่เข้ามาอำนวยความสะดวกแก่นักท่องเที่ยวอย่างต่อเนื่อง ด้านกิจกรรมการท่องเที่ยว ได้แก่ การจัดหากิจกรรมการท่องเที่ยวมาเสริมให้นักท่องเที่ยวสามารถมาทำกิจกรรมได้ตลอดทั้งปี และด้านการมีส่วนร่วม ได้แก่ การขอความร่วมมือจากประชาชนให้มีส่วนร่วมในการพัฒนามากขึ้น
