Lam Plern Ban Phaeng: Adaptation in the Globalization

Abstract

The research on Lam Plern Ban Phaeng: Adjustment in the Globalization is a study of the adjustment of two groups of Lamplern consisting of Sao Noi Petch Banphaeng and Bua Rimbueng Runglamplearn. The research applied qualitative research using the 3 frameworks which aimed to 1) explore the history of Lamplern Banphaeng 2) investigate the performance components of Lamplern Banphaeng and 3) study the adjustment of Lamplern in the globalization. The research sites included: Banphaeng Village, Banphaeng Subdistrict, Kosumpisai District, Maha Sarakham where the groups of Lamplern are located and the 4 provinces at where the groups of Lamplern performed including Maha Sarakham, Khonkaen, Kalasin and Roi-Ed. The informants included the community leaders, local information givers, local experts, Banphaeng villagers, the Lamplern group leaders, Lamlern performers and staff and the audience. The observation, focus group, interview and questionnaires were employed to collect data. The descriptive analysis method was applied to present the research results.

The results are as follows. 1) The history of Lamplern Banphaeng had developed through 6 periods covering the beginning period (1971), the golden period (1973-1975), the recession period (1975-1976), the revival period (1977-1983), the reputation flourishing period (1987-2002) and the current period (2002-2017). 2) The performance components of Lam Plern Ban Phaeng consisted of performer, musicians, costumes, Klon lam texts, stage, light and sound system, and step of the performance. 3) Lam Plern Ban Phaeng was adapted from the problem of composition and use learning, update, modification and deployment to exist in the globalization era.

การวิจัยเรื่องลำเพลินบ้านแพง การปรับตัวในยุคโลกาภิวัตน์ เป็นการศึกษาการปรับตัวคณะหมอลำเพลิน 2 คณะ ประกอบด้วย คณะสาวน้อยเพชรบ้านแพง และคณะบัวริมบึงรุ่งลำเพลิน โดยใช้กระบวนการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ มีความมุ่งหมายการศึกษาผ่านกรอบแนวคิด 3 ข้อ 1) เพื่อศึกษาประวัติความเป็นมาของลำเพลินบ้านแพง 2) เพื่อศึกษาองค์ประกอบของลำเพลินบ้านแพง และ 3) เพื่อศึกษาการปรับตัวของลำเพลินบ้านแพงในยุคโลกาภิวัตน์ พื้นที่ในการเก็บข้อมูล ได้แก่ ชุมชนบ้านแพง ตำบลแพง อำเภอโกสุมพิสัย จังหวัดมหาสารคาม และในพื้นที่ 4 จังหวัดของภาคอีสาน ได้แก่ จังหวัดมหาสารคาม จังหวัดขอนแก่น จังหวัดกาฬสินธุ์ และจังหวัดร้อยเอ็ด โดยมีกลุ่มผู้ให้ข้อมูลได้แก่ ผู้นำชุมชน ผู้ให้บริการข้อมูลชุมชน ชาวบ้านในชุมชน หัวหน้าคณะหมอลำ บุคลากรของคณะหมอลำ และผู้ชม เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูล คือ การสังเกต การสนทนากลุ่ม การสัมภาษณ์ และแบบสอบถาม นำเสนอผลการวิจัยโดยวิธีพรรณนาวิเคราะห์

ผลการวิจัยพบว่า 1) ประวัติความเป็นมาของลำเพลินบ้านแพงมีพัฒนาการแบ่งออกเป็น 6 ยุค ประกอบด้วย ยุคบุกเบิก (พ.ศ. 2514) ยุคเฟื่องฟู (พ.ศ. 2516 - 2518) ยุคถดถอย (พ.ศ. 2518-2519) ยุคใหม่ (พ.ศ. 2520-2526) ยุคสร้างชื่อเสียง (2530-2545) และยุคปัจจุบัน (พ.ศ. 2545-2560) 2) ลำเพลินบ้านแพงมีองค์ประกอบที่สำคัญ คือ นักแสดง ดนตรี ชุดเครื่องแต่งกาย บทกลอนลำ เวทีและแสงเสียง และรูปแบบการแสดง 3) ลำเพลินบ้านแพงเกิดการปรับตัวจากสภาพปัญหาด้านองค์ประกอบและใช้วิธีเรียนรู้ ปรับปรุง ปรับเปลี่ยน และปรับใช้เพื่อการดำรงอยู่ในยุคโลกาภิวัตน์
