Political ideology of former members of the Communist Party of Thailand (CPT) in the area of Loei Province

Abstract

This research’s purpose was to study the development of the Communist Party of Thailand (CPT) establishment in the area of Loei Province and to study and analyze the understanding of political ideology of former party members in Loei Province. The research tool was an interview form. The sample group consisted of 15 former members of the Communist Party of Thailand in Loei Province, who were selected specifically.

The research study has shown that the majority of the interviewees were males, most of them aged 61 years and over. Most of their educational levels were in upper secondary school level or equivalent. The study on the development of the Communist Party of Thailand establishment in the area of ​​Loei Province found that society in the communist era was full of equality, no social class system, no oppression, and no more exploitation. The property ownership system was abolished. It allowed every person to own the property together as a common property that everyone can equally access to. It was a political party that adhered to building well-being for all of its members of society. The study results of the understanding of political ideology of former members of the Communist Party of Thailand in the area of ​​Loei Province found that 60 percent of former members of the CPT still adhere to socialist political ideology, while 26.67 percent of them had a socialist with democratic political ideology. Lastly, 13.33 percent of the CPT former members had a democratic political ideology.

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาพัฒนาการการจัดตั้งพรรคคอมมิวนิสต์แห่งประเทศไทย (พคท.) ในเขตพื้นที่จังหวัดเลยและเพื่อศึกษาวิเคราะห์ความเข้าใจในอุดมการณ์ทางการเมืองของอดีตสมาชิกพรรค (พคท.) ในเขตพื้นที่จังหวัดเลย เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย ได้แก่ แบบสัมภาษณ์ กลุ่มตัวอย่าง ได้แก่ อดีตสมาชิกพรรคคอมมิวนิสต์แห่งประเทศไทย (พคท.) ในเขตพื้นที่จังหวัดเลย จำนวน 15 คน โดยการเลือกแบบเจาะจง

ผลการวิจัย พบว่า ผู้สัมภาษณ์ส่วนใหญ่เป็นเพศชาย อายุส่วนใหญ่อายุ 61 ปีขึ้นไป ระดับการศึกษาส่วนใหญ่อยู่ในระดับมัธยมศึกษาตอนปลาย/เทียบเท่า ผลการศึกษาพัฒนาการการจัดตั้งพรรคคอมมิวนิสต์แห่งประเทศไทย (พคท.) ในเขตพื้นที่จังหวัดเลย พบว่า สังคมในยุคคอมมิวนิสต์ จะเต็มไปด้วยความเสมอภาค ไม่มีชนชั้น ไม่มีการกดขี่ข่มเหง และไม่มีการเอารัดเอาเปรียบอีกต่อไป ระบบกรรมสิทธิ์ในทรัพย์สินจะถูกยกเลิก และให้ทุกคนเป็นเจ้าของทรัพย์สินร่วมกันในฐานะเป็นสมบัติส่วนกลางที่ทุกคนสามารถเข้าใช้ประโยชน์ได้อย่างเท่าเทียมกัน เป็นพรรคการเมืองที่ยึดมั่นในการสร้างความอยู่ดีกินดีแก่สมาชิกทุกคนในสังคม ผลการศึกษาวิเคราะห์ความเข้าใจในอุดมการณ์ทางการเมืองของอดีตสมาชิกพรรคคอมมิวนิสต์แห่งประเทศไทย (พคท.) ในเขตพื้นที่จังหวัดเลย พบว่า อดีตสมาชิกพรรคคอมมิวนิสต์ยังคงยึดมั่นต่ออุดมการณ์ทางการเมืองสังคมนิยม คิดเป็นร้อยละ 60 อดีตสมาชิกพรรคคอมมิวนิสต์มีอุดมการณ์ทางการเมืองสังคมนิยมผสมประชาธิปไตย คิดเป็นร้อยละ 26.67 และมีอุดมการณ์ทางการเมืองประชาธิปไตย คิดเป็นร้อยละ 13.33
