The devalopment of mathematics problem solving ability by using KWDL learning activities for matthayomsuksa 4 students

Abstract

This aims of research were 1) to develop the mathematical problem - solving ability by using KWDL learning activity of Matthayomsuksa 4 students, compare with 70 criterion. 2) to study the attitudes of Matthayomsuksa 4 students towards mathematics. The sample group which used in this research was 40 students from Matthayomsuksa 4/4 of Phadungnaree school, Mahasarskham in the second semester of the 2021 academic year. They were selected by Cluster Random Sampling. In addition, the instruments cotain. (1) the KWDL learning management plans. (2) the mathematics problems solving ability test. (3) the attitude toward mathematics questionnaire. The statistics used for analyzing the data included percentage , mean , standard deviation and one sample t-test.

The research has found that

1. The mathematical problem - solving ability of matthayomsuksa 4 students that learn by using KWDL learning activity was higher then the set 70 percent at criterion at .05 level statistical significance. The mathematical problem – solving ability scores were divided into 4 steps The choose a solution step had the mean 17.35 and the standard deviation was 2.95. The execute the solution step had the mean 17.50 and the standard deviation was 3.10. The solution step had the mean 18.83 and the standard deviation was 2.38. The summary of answers step had the mean 18.85 and the standard deviation was 2.39. by every step was higher then the set 70 percent at criterion at .05 level statistical significance.

2. The attitude towards mathematics of Matthayomsuksa 4 students was high level

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) เพื่อพัฒนาความสามารถในการแก้ปัญหาทางคณิตศาสตร์ที่ใช้การจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้แบบ KWDL ของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 4 เทียบกับเกณฑ์ร้อยละ 70 2) เพื่อศึกษาเจตคติของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 4 ต่อวิชาคณิตศาสตร์ กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการศึกษาครั้งนี้ คือ นักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 4/4 ภาคเรียนที่ 2 ปีการศึกษา 2564 โรงเรียนผดุงนารี จังหวัดมหาสารคาม จำนวน 40 คน ได้มาโดยการสุ่มแบบกลุ่ม (Cluster random sampling) เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย คือ (1) แผนการจัดการเรียนรู้แบบ KWDL (2) แบบทดสอบวัดความสามารถในการแก้ปัญหาทางคณิตศาสตร์ (3) แบบวัดเจตคติต่อวิชาคณิตศาสตร์ สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล ได้แก่ ร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และสถิติทดสอบสมมติฐาน One sample t-test

ผลการวิจัย พบว่า

1) ความสามารถในการแก้ปัญหาทางคณิตศาสตร์ ของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 4 ที่ได้รับการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้แบบ KWDL สูงกว่าเกณฑ์ร้อยละ 70 อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 และคะแนนความสามารถในการแก้ปัญหาทางคณิตศาสตร์ แบ่งออกเป็น 4 ขั้นตอน ได้แก่ ขั้นความเข้าใจปัญหามีค่าเฉลี่ยเท่ากับ 17.35 ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐานเท่ากับ 2.95 ขั้นการเลือกยุทธวิธีการแก้ปัญหามีค่าเฉลี่ยเท่ากับ 17.50 ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐานเท่ากับ 3.10 ขั้นการใช้วิธีการแก้ปัญหามีค่าเฉลี่ยเท่ากับ 18.83 ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐานเท่ากับ 2.38 ขั้นการสรุปคำตอบมีค่าเฉลี่ยเท่ากับ 18.85 ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐานเท่ากับ 2.39 โดยทุกขั้นตอนสูงกว่าเกณฑ์ร้อยละ 70 อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05

2) นักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 4 มีเจตคติต่อวิชาคณิตศาสตร์อยู่ในระดับมาก
