Species Diversity and Abundance of Land Snails in Si Sa Ket Province

Abstract

Species diversity and abundance of land snails in Si Sa Ket Province was studied in the forests on sandstone hill, river bank on floodploin and volcanic hill Land snails were collected in both rainy and dry seasons by using 10 plots of 20x20 m² (2, 4 and 4 plots in each locality, espectiveiy Totally, 991 specimens were collected, which, comprise 864 empty shells (87.70%) and 127 living snails. (12.30) These snails were identified into 14 species in 9 families. Subclass Prosobranchia comprise Cyclophorus volvulus and Cyclotus setosus Subclass Gymnomorpha comprise Semperula siamensis , and Subclass Pulmonata comprise Achatina fulica, Succinea tenella, Cryptozona siamensis, Hemiplecta distincta, Sitala sp., Quantula weinkauffiana, Quantula sp., Trochomorpha sp., Amphidromus (Amphidromus) inversus annamiticus, Chloritis malayana, Pseudobuliminus (Giardia) siamensis and Moreover, the discovery of two distinct species of Quantula weinkauffiana and Quantula sp., possess distinct external shell morphology. The further studies in reproductive anatomy are required.

ศึกษาความหลากชนิดและความชุกชุมของหอยทากบกในจังหวัดศรีสะเกษในฤดูฝนและฤดูแล้งในบริเวณ ป่าที่ปกคลุมเขาหินทราย ป่าบนพื้นที่ราบ และป่าบนภูเขาไฟเก่าที่ดับสนิทแล้วโดยใช้แปลงสำรวจขนาด 20x20 เมตร จำนวน 2, 4 และ 4 แปลงตามลำดับพบหอยทากทั้งหมด 991 ตัวอย่าง เป็นเปลือก 864 ตัวอย่าง และเป็นตัวที่ยังมีชีวิต 127 ตัวอย่าง สามารถจำแนกหอยทากบกได้ทั้งหมด 9 วงศ์ 14 ชนิด ได้แก่ หอยทากบกที่มีฝาปิดเปลือก 1 วงศ์ คือวงศ์ Cyclophoridae พบ 2 ชนิดได้แก่ Cyclophorus volvulus และ Cyclotus setosus หอยทากไม่มีเปลือก พบ 1 วงศ์ 1 ชนิด คือ วงศ์ Veronicellidae ได้แก่ Semperula siamensis และหอยทากบกที่ไม่ฝาปิดเปลือก พบ 7 วงศ์ 11 ชนิด ได้แก่ วงศ์ Achatinidae พบ 1 ชนิด คือ Achatina fulica วงศ์ Succinaeide พบ 1 ชนิดคือ Succinea tenella วงศ์ Ariophantidae พบ 3 ชนิด คือ Cryptozona siamensis, Hemiplecta distincta และ Sitala sp. วงศ์ Dyakiidae พบ 2 ชนิด คือ Quantula weinkauffiana และ Quantula sp. วงศ์ Trochomorphidae พบ 1 ชนิด คือ Trochomorpha sp. วงศ์ Camaenidae พบ 3 ชนิด คือ Amphidromus (Amphidromus) inversus annamiticus, Chloritis malayana. และ วงศ์ Bradybaenidae พบ 1 ชนิด คือ Pseudobuliminus (Giardia) siamensis นอกจากนี้ยังพบหอยในสกุล Quantula 2 ชนิด คือ Quantula weinkauffiana และ Quantula sp. ซึ่งมีลักษณะภายนอกที่ต่างกันอย่างชัดเจน ควรทำการศึกษากายวิภาคศาสตร์เปรียบเทียบระบบสืบพันธุ์ต่อไป
