The costume designs for the Morlamwat KhonKaen's dancers

Abstract

The beautiful costumes is the one important elements that contribute to the aesthetics of the Morlamwat KhonKaen’dancers. The competition in the costumes is quite high because the costumes are considered to be complementary. Performance is one of the important elements that help the audience to enjoy the performance in front of the stage.

This article aims to study 1) the development of costumes of Morlamwat KhonKaen’dancers,2)The design of the costumes of the Morlamwat KhonKaen’dancers by using a qualitative research method. The data will be collected using the documents and field note which consists of Prathombunterngsin, Rattanasin-intathaiyarat and Rabiabwathasin. All of them are similar styles and structures.

The results showed that the development costumes for Morlamwat KhonKaen’dancers from the past to the present, there are a total of 3 eras, each of which has its development and invention transfer process., including getting ideas from outside to mix all the time, such as the idea of ​​modifying the production of costumes, to respond social phenomena, to stimulate stability and survival in accordance with the changing social trends in each era. Especially in a society that is constantly moving and there is a high competition in business as for the costume design of the Morlamwat KhonKaen’dancers. There is a paradigm in creating works through design concepts that are primarily in line with popular trends. By imitating the dancer's dress in various entertainment venues and media, blended with the designer's imagination. Under the concept of two main groups, which are the show music group and the Lukthung and Morlam songs can be divided into 6 types which are 1) shirt style, 2) skirt style, 3) pants style, 4) sarong style, 5) Jong Kraben style, and 6) ready-made dress style.

เครื่องแต่งกายที่สวยงามเป็นองค์ประกอบที่สำคัญอย่างหนึ่งที่ก่อให้เกิดสุนทรียภาพทางการแสดง เครื่องแต่งกายของนักเต้นคณะหมอลำวาทขอนแก่นก็เช่นกันที่มีการแข่งขันด้านเครื่องแต่งกายค่อนข้างสูงเพราะถือว่าเครื่องแต่งกายประกอบการแสดงนั้น เป็นองค์ประกอบที่สำคัญอย่างหนึ่ง ที่ช่วยสามารถให้ผู้ชม มีความเพลิดเพลินไปกับการแสดงโชว์ด้านหน้าเวทีได้

การวิจัยนี้มีความมุ่งหมายที่จะศึกษา 1) พัฒนาการเครื่องแต่งกายของนักเต้นคณะหมอลำวาทขอนแก่น 2) การออกแบบเครื่องแต่งกายของนักเต้นคณะหมอลำวาทขอนแก่น โดยวิธีการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ โดยใช้วิธีการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลจากเอกสารและข้อมูลภาคสนามเป็นหลัก ซึ่งประกอบด้วย หมอลำคณะประถมบันเทิงศิลป์ คณะรัตนศิลป์อินตาไทยราษฎร์ และคณะระเบียบวาทะศิลป์ อันเป็นคณะหมอลำที่มีรูปแบบและลักษณะโครงสร้างที่คล้ายคลึงกัน

ผลการศึกษาพบว่า พัฒนาการเครื่องแต่งกายของนักเต้นคณะหมอลำวาทขอนแก่น จากอดีตจนถึงปัจจุบันมีทั้งหมด 3 ยุค ซึ่งแต่ละยุคสมัยนั้นมีพัฒนาการและกระบวนการถ่ายทอดประดิษฐ์คิดค้น รวมถึงการรับแนวคิดจากภายนอกเข้ามาผสมผสานอยู่ตลอดเวลา เช่น การคิดดัดแปลงการผลิตเครื่องแต่งกาย เพื่อตอบสนองปรากฏการณ์ของสังคม เพื่อกระตุ้นความมั่นคงและความอยู่รอดตามกระแสสังคมที่มีการเปลี่ยนแปลงในแต่ละยุคสมัย โดยเฉพาะในวิถีสังคมที่มีการขับเคลื่อนอยู่ตลอดเวลาและ มีการแข่งขันด้านธุรกิจสูง ด้านการออกแบบเครื่องแต่งกายของนักเต้นคณะหมอลำวาทขอนแก่นนั้น มีกระบวนทัศน์ในการสร้างผลงานผ่านแนวคิดการออกแบบที่สอดคล้องกับแนวทางการปฏิบัติตามกระแสนิยมเป็นหลัก โดยการเลียนแบบการแต่งกายแดนเชอร์ตามสถานบันเทิงและสื่อบันเทิงต่าง ๆ ผสมผสานกับจิตนาการของผู้ออกแบบ ภายใต้แนวคิดสองกลุ่มหลัก คือ กลุ่มแนวเพลงโชว์และกลุ่มแนวเพลงลูกทุ่งและลูกทุ่งหมอลำ โดยสามารถจัดแบ่งรูปแบบตามลักษณะการแต่งกายทั้งหมดออกเป็น 6 ประเภท คือ 1) รูปแบบเสื้อ 2) รูปแบบกระโปรง 3) รูปแบบกางเกง 4) รูปแบบผ้าถุง 5) รูปแบบโจงกระเบน และ 6) รูปแบบชุดสำเร็จรูป
