The Development of Mathematics Learning Activities by using Inquiry Process with Creative Problem Solving (CPS) to Promote Computational Thinking Skill in Matthayomsuksa 2 Students

Abstract

The purposes of this research were 1) to develop mathematics learning activities on statistics by using inquiry process with Creative Problem Solving (CPS) to promote computational thinking skills in Matthayomsuksa 2 students to be effective according to the 70/70 criteria, 2) to compare computational thinking skills with 70 percent of criteria and 3) to compare the learning achievement with 70 percent of criteria. The samples were 41 Matthayomsuksa 2/3 students at Mahasarakam University Demonstration School (Secondary) which obtained by cluster random sampling. The instruments used in the experiments were 7 lesson plans based on inquiry process with CPS, total 7 hours and the instruments used to collect the data were a computational thinking skills assessment, learning achievement test. The statistics manipulated for the data were percentage, mean, standard deviation, and one-sample t-test.

The results revealed as follows: 1) The results of the mathematics learning activities by using the inquiry process with CPS to promote computational thinking skills in Matthayomsuksa 2 students on statistics had had the efficiency at 76.77/77.45, which higher than the set criteria of 70/70. 2) Matthayomsuksa 2 students who studied through mathematics learning activities by using inquiry process with CPS had computational thinking skills higher than the criteria of 70 percent with a statistically significant at the level of .05. 3) Matthayomsuksa 2 students who studied through mathematics learning activities by using inquiry process with CPS had the learning achievement higher than the criteria of 70 percent with a statistically significant at the level of .05.

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อพัฒนากิจกรรมการเรียนรู้วิชาคณิตศาสตร์เรื่อง สถิติ โดยใช้การจัดการเรียนรู้แบบสืบเสาะหาความรู้ทางคณิตศาสตร์ร่วมกับกระบวนการคิดแก้ปัญหาอย่างสร้างสรรค์ เพื่อส่งเสริมทักษะการคิดเชิงคำนวณ ของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 2 ที่มีประสิทธิภาพตามเกณฑ์ 70/70 เพื่อเปรียบเทียบทักษะการคิดเชิงคำนวณ กับเกณฑ์ร้อยละ 70 และเพื่อเปรียบเทียบผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียน กับเกณฑ์ร้อยละ 70 กลุ่มตัวอย่างเป็น นักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 2/3 โรงเรียนสาธิตมหาวิทยาลัยมหาสารคาม (ฝ่ายมัธยม) จำนวน 41 คน ซึ่งได้มาโดยการสุ่มแบบกลุ่ม (Cluster Random Sampling) เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการทดลอง คือ แผนการจัดการเรียนรู้แบบสืบเสาะหาความรู้ทางคณิตศาสตร์ร่วมกับกระบวนการคิดแก้ปัญหาอย่างสร้างสรรค์ เรื่อง สถิติ จำนวน 7 แผนการเรียนรู้ รวมทั้งสิ้น 7 ชั่วโมง และเครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลคือ แบบวัดทักษะการคิดเชิงคำนวณ แบบทดสอบผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียน สถิติที่ใช้คือ ร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และ One Sample t-test

ผลการศึกษาพบว่า 1) กิจกรรมการเรียนรู้แบบสืบเสาะหาความรู้ทางคณิตศาสตร์ร่วมกับกระบวนการคิดแก้ปัญหาอย่างสร้างสรรค์ เพื่อส่งเสริมทักษะการคิดเชิงคำนวณของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 2 เรื่องสถิติ มีประสิทธิภาพเท่ากับ 76.77/77.45 สูงกว่าเกณฑ์ที่กำหนดไว้ คือ 70/70 2) นักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 2 ที่เรียนด้วยกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้แบบสืบเสาะหาความรู้ทางคณิตศาสตร์ร่วมกับกระบวนการคิดแก้ปัญหาอย่างสร้างสรรค์ มีทักษะในการคิดเชิงคำนวณสูงกว่าเกณฑ์ร้อยละ 70 อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 3) นักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 2 ที่เรียนด้วยกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้แบบสืบเสาะหาความรู้ทางคณิตศาสตร์ร่วมกับกระบวนการคิดแก้ปัญหาอย่างสร้างสรรค์ มีผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียนสูงกว่าเกณฑ์ร้อยละ 70 อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05
