Guidelines for School Curriculum Management using the Deming Cycle for Small Schools in Mahasarakham Secondary Education Area

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to study the current conditions, the desirable conditions, the priority-needs index of educational institute curriculum administration. And to develop guidelines for school curriculum management using the Deming cycle for small number of student-schools in Mahasarakham Secondary Education Area. The research was divided into 2 phases. Phase 1 was to study the current conditions, the desirable conditions, the priority-needs index of educational institute curriculum administration for small number of student-schools in Mahasarakham Secondary Education Area. The sample group included the school administrator, the head of the school curriculum and the teachers in small number of student-schools. There were 220 people. The research instrument was the questionnaire. The statistics used in quantitative data analysis were Frequency, Percentage, Mean, Standard Deviation (S.D.) and the priority-needs index. Phase 2 was to develop guidelines for school curriculum management using the Deming cycle for small number of student-schools in Mahasarakham Secondary Education Area. It was qualitative research. Research instrument was an interview form. Informants were 6 experts from educational institutions with excellent practices analyzing data by content analysis.

Results showed that: the current conditions overall were at the high level, the desirable conditions overall were at the highest level. The 4 processes, there were 28 approaches. And the priority-needs index of educational institute curriculum administration sorted by the average score from high to low were: side processing preparation of school, curriculum support, supervision monitoring and evaluation of courses, The make and use of the course. School curriculum administration using the Deming cycle. The experts found the right approach and feasibility at the highest level.

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีความมุ่งหมาย เพื่อศึกษาสภาพปัจจุบัน สภาพที่พึงประสงค์และความต้องการจำเป็นของการบริหารหลักสูตรสถานศึกษาและเพื่อพัฒนาแนวทางการบริหารหลักสูตรสถานศึกษาโดยใช้วงจรเดมมิ่ง สำหรับโรงเรียนมัธยมศึกษาขนาดเล็ก สังกัดสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษามัธยมศึกษามหาสารคาม การดำเนินการวิจัยมี 2 ระยะ ได้แก่ ระยะที่ 1 การศึกษาสภาพปัจจุบัน สภาพที่พึงประสงค์ และความต้องการจำเป็นของการบริหารหลักสูตรสถานศึกษา กลุ่มตัวอย่าง ได้แก่ ผู้บริหารสถานศึกษา หัวหน้างานหลักสูตรสถานศึกษา และครูในโรงเรียนมัธยมศึกษาขนาดเล็ก จำนวน 220 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย ได้แก่ แบบสอบถาม สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลเชิงปริมาณ ได้แก่ ความถี่ ร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน ค่าดัชนีความต้องการจำเป็น ระยะที่ 2 การพัฒนาแนวทางการบริหารหลักสูตรสถานศึกษาโดยใช้วงจรเดมมิ่ง เป็นการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ ใช้วิธีการสัมภาษณ์เป็นเครื่องมือ กลุ่มผู้ให้ข้อมูล ได้แก่ ผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิจากสถานศึกษาที่มีวิธีปฏิบัติที่เป็นเลิศ จำนวน 6 คน และวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยการวิเคราะห์เนื้อหา

ผลการวิจัย พบว่า สภาพปัจจุบันโดยภาพรวมอยู่ในระดับมาก สภาพที่พึงประสงค์โดยภาพรวมอยู่ในระดับมากที่สุด จากกระบวนการทั้ง 4 ด้าน 28 แนวทาง และความต้องการจำเป็น เรียงลำดับค่าดัชนีความต้องการจำเป็นของกระบวนการจากมากไปน้อย ได้แก่ กระบวนการด้านการเตรียมความพร้อมของสถานศึกษา ด้านการส่งเสริมสนับสนุนหลักสูตร ด้านการกำกับติดตามและประเมินผลหลักสูตร และด้านการจัดทำและใช้หลักสูตร ตามลำดับ ส่วนแนวทางการบริหารหลักสูตรสถานศึกษาโดยใช้วงจรเดมมิ่ง มีผลการประเมินความเหมาะสมและความเป็นไปได้ของแนวทาง พบว่า ทั้งสองด้านอยู่ในระดับมากที่สุด
