The Development of English Speaking Skill by Using Role Play Learning Activity for Matthayomsuksa 5 Students

Abstract

The aims of this research were 1) to develop speaking skill of matthayomsuksa 5 students by using Role-play learning activity with the criteria 70. 2) to study about learning activity by using Role-play 3) to study students’ satisfaction toward Role-play learning activity. The sample group which used in this research were 37 students from matthayomsuksa 5/5 of Padungnaree school, Mahasarakham in the second semester of the 2021 academic year. They were selected by Cluster random sampling technique. The researching tools were 1) Role play lesson plans 2) English speaking skill test 3) The satisfaction survey toward English The statistics used for analyzing the data included percentage, mean, standard deviation, correlation and one sample t-test.

The result of the research as follows:

1. The English-speaking skill of the students who learned by using Role play method was higher than the criteria at .05 level statistical significance.

2. Matthayomsuksa 5 students can learn and adapt to Role-play learning activity properly.

3. Matthayomsuksa 5 students, who learn by using Role-play learning activity had a high level of satisfaction. The mean was 4.40 and the standard deviation was 0.56.

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีความมุ่งหมายคือ 1) เพื่อพัฒนาทักษะการพูดภาษาอังกฤษโดยใช้วิธีการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้แบบบทบาทสมมติของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 เทียบกับเกณฑ์ร้อยละ 70 2) เพื่อศึกษาการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้โดยใช้การสอนแบบบทบาทสมมติ 3) เพื่อศึกษาความพึงพอใจต่อการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้แบบบทบาทสมมติของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 กลุ่มตัวอย่างคือนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5/5 จำนวน 37 คน ได้มาโดยวิธีการสุ่มแบบกลุ่ม (Cluster Random Sampling) เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยได้แก่ แผนการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้โดยใช้วิธีการสอนแบบบทบาทสมมติ จำนวน 4 แผน แบบประเมินทักษะการพูดภาษาอังกฤษ แบบวัดความพึงพอใจต่อกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้แบบบทบาทสมมติ สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลการวิจัยได้แก่ ร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน สัมประสิทธิ์สหสัมพันธ์ และ one sample t-test

ผลการวิจัยพบว่า

1. ทักษะการพูดภาษาอังกฤษของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 ที่ได้รับการสอนโดยใช้วิธีแบบบทบาทสมมติ สูงกว่าเกณฑ์ร้อยละ 70 อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ .05

2. นักเรียนสามารถเรียนรู้โดยการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้แบบบทบาทสมมติได้อย่างเหมาะสมและสามารถปรับตัว แก้ไขปัญหาในการเรียนของตนเองได้

3. นักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 มีความพึงพอใจต่อรายวิชาภาษาอังกฤษ อยู่ในระดับ มาก โดยมีค่าเฉลี่ยเท่ากับ 4.40 และมีส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐานเท่ากับ 0.56
