The Development of English Speaking Ability of Prathomsueksa 4th Students by using Role Play Activities

Abstract

This research aimed 1) to study the effectiveness of using English Communication Speaking Ability by using Role Play Activities of Prathomsueksa 4 th 2) to develop of English Communication Speaking Ability of Prathomsueksa 4 th by using Role Play Activities to pass the criteria 80/80 percent. 3) to study the effectiveness of using lesson plans for English Communication Speaking Ability by using Role Play Activities of Prathomsueksa 4 th. The target group was 4 Prathomsueksa from Anuban Pornpradit School, Nongkungsi District, Kalasin Province semester 1, the academic year 2022, with 32 people. The instrument used in this study was 1) Plans for learning by using Role Play Activities of Prathomsueksa 4th, with 4 plans for 2 hours total of 8 hours of learning. 2) English communication speaking consists of 2 sections, section 1 objective test for 20 items, and the speaking ability test for 4 items. The statistics used for analyzing the collected data were percentage, mean, and standard deviation.

The results of the study were as follows :

1. The results of the effectiveness of using English Communication Speaking Ability by using Role Play Activities for Prathomsueksa 4th, the average score of using English Communication Speaking Ability by using Role Play Activities of 32.16 percent, with Standard Deviation the average score of 1.89 the average score of 80.39 percent have an excellent level which passed Criteria 60 percent, the students have English Communication Speaking Ability have an excellent level is lesson plan 2, lesson plan 3 and a good level is lesson plan 1, lesson plan 4.

2. The efficiency of lesson plans using English Communication Speaking Ability by using Role Play Activities for Prathomsueksa 4th was 80.39/82.19, which was higher than the required criterion.

3. The Effectiveness Index of lesson plans using English Communication Speaking Ability for Prathomsueksa 4th by using Role Play Activities was 0.6612 , This shows that students have progressed increased by 66.61.

การวิจัยในครั้งนี้มีความมุ่งหมาย 1) เพื่อศึกษาผลการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนการสอนความสามารถด้านการพูดภาษาอังกฤษโดยใช้บทบาทสมมติของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 4 2) เพื่อหาประสิทธิภาพของแผนการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้เพื่อพัฒนาด้านการพูดภาษาอังกฤษโดยใช้บทบาทสมมติของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 4 ตามเกณฑ์ 80/80 3) เพื่อศึกษาดัชนีประสิทธิผลของแผนการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้ความสามารถด้านการพูดภาษาอังกฤษ โดยใช้บทบาทสมมติของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 4 กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการวิจัยครั้งนี้ เป็นนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 4 โรงเรียนอนุบาลพรประดิษฐ์ อำเภอหนองกุงศรี จังหวัดกาฬสินธุ์ ภาคเรียนที่ 1 ปีการศึกษา 2565 จำนวน 32 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยครั้งนี้ มี 2 ชนิด ประกอบด้วย 1) แผนการจัดการเรียนรู้โดยใช้บทบาทสมมติเพื่อพัฒนาความสามารถด้านการพูดภาษาอังกฤษ ของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 4 จำนวน 4 แผน แผนละ 2 ชั่วโมง รวม 8 ชั่วโมง ซึ่งเป็นแผนการจัดการเรียนรู้ที่เน้นกิจกรรมการเรียนการสอนแบบบทบาทสมมติซึ่งสอดคล้องกับหลักสูตรการศึกษาขั้นพื้นฐาน พุทธศักราช 2551 2) แบบทดสอบวัดความสามารถด้านการพูดภาษาอังกฤษ ประกอบไปด้วย 2 ตอน ตอนที่ 1 แบบทดสอบปรนัย จำนวน 20 ข้อ ตอนที่ 2 แบบทดสอบภาคปฏิบัติ จำนวน 4 ข้อ สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล ได้แก่ ร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน

ผลการวิจัยปรากฏดังนี้

1. ผลการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนการสอนความสามารถด้านการพูดภาษาอังกฤษโดยใช้บทบาทสมมติของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 4 พบว่า ค่าเฉลี่ยคะแนนความสามารถด้านการพูดภาษาอังกฤษของผู้เรียนหลังการได้รับการสอนโดยใช้บทบาทสมมติเท่ากับ 32.16 มีส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน 1.89 คิดเป็นร้อยละ 80.39 มีระดับคุณภาพ ดีเยี่ยม ซึ่งผ่านเกณฑ์ร้อยละ 60 โดยที่ผู้เรียนมีคะแนนความสามารถด้านการพูดภาษาอังกฤษอยู่ในระดับคุณภาพดีเยี่ยม ได้แก่ แผนที่ 2 , แผนที่ 3 และ ได้ระดับคุณภาพ ดี ในแผนที่ 1 และ แผนที่ 4

2. ประสิทธิภาพของแผนการจัดการเรียนรู้โดยใช้บทบาทสมมติ เพื่อพัฒนาความสามารถด้านการพูดภาษาอังกฤษ มีค่าเท่ากับ 80.39/82.19 ซึ่งสูงกว่าเกณฑ์ 80/80 ที่กำหนดไว้

3. ดัชนีประสิทธิผลของแผนการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้ความสามารถด้านการพูดภาษาอังกฤษของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 4 โดยใช้บทบาทสมมติ มีค่าเท่ากับ 0.6612 แสดงว่าผู้เรียนมีความก้าวหน้าทางการเรียนร้อยละ 66.61
