Development of Teacher Competency Strengthening Program of STEM Education under Surin Primary Educational Area Office 1

Abstract

The research aimed to 1) study current desirable conditions and needs for teacher competency of learning management of STEM education under Surin Primary Educational Area Office 1. 2) Develop a program about the development of teacher competency strengthening program of STEM education under Surin Primary Educational Area Office 1. The research is divided into 2 stages. First stage was to study current, desirable conditions and needs for teacher competency strengthening developing program of STEM education under Surin Primary Educational Area Office 1. The sample consist of 351 teachers under Surin Primary Educational Area Office 1 selected by satisfied random sampling technique. The research instrument was questionnaire. The second stage was the development of teacher competency strengthening program of STEM education under Surin Primary Educational Area Office 1. The target group was 6 teachers and administrators from school with best practices, and 7 educational experts verify and evaluate the program using purposive sampling method. The instrument were semi-structure interview, appropriateness and feasibility assessment of program. The frequency, percentage, means, standard deviation, Pearson product-moment correlation, and Modified Priority Needs Index were employed to analyze data.

The finding of this research were as follow:

1. The overall of current for the development of teacher competency strengthening program of STEM education under Surin Primary Educational Area Office 1 was at high level, the desirable condition for the development of teacher competency strengthening program of STEM education under Surin Primary Educational Area Office 1 was at highest level.

2. The development of teacher competency strengthening program of STEM education under Surin Primary Educational Area Office 1 composed of 1) principle 2) objective 3) content which divided into 3 modules: Module 1 knowledge learning management of STEM education, Module 2 Skills learning management of STEM education and Module 3 Attributes learning management of STEM education 4) process 5) program evaluation. The overall of the development of teacher competency strengthening program of STEM education under Surin Primary Educational Area Office 1 in term of appropriateness was at highest level and possibility was at high level.

การวิจัยในครั้งนี้มีความมุ่งหมายเพื่อ 1) เพื่อศึกษาสภาพปัจจุบัน สภาพที่พึงประสงค์ และความต้องการจำเป็นของสมรรถนะครูด้านการจัดการเรียนรู้สะเต็มศึกษา สังกัดสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษาประถมศึกษาสุรินทร์ เขต 1 2) เพื่อพัฒนาโปรแกรมเสริมสร้างสมรรถนะครูด้านการจัดการเรียนรู้สะเต็มศึกษา สังกัดสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษาประถมศึกษาสุรินทร์ เขต 1 การวิจัยแบ่งเป็น 2 ระยะ คือ ระยะที่ 1 ศึกษาสภาพปัจจุบัน สภาพที่พึงประสงค์และความต้องการจำเป็นของสมรรถนะครูด้านการจัดการเรียนรู้สะเต็มศึกษา สังกัดสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษาประถมศึกษาสุรินทร์ เขต 1 กลุ่มตัวอย่าง ได้แก่ ครูสังกัดสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษาประถมศึกษาสุรินทร์ เขต 1 จำนวน 351 คน ได้มาโดยการสุ่มแบบแบ่งชั้นภูมิและใช้ขนาดของสถานศึกษาเป็นหน่วยของการสุ่ม เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย ได้แก่ แบบสอบถาม ระยะที่ 2 การพัฒนาโปรแกรมเสริมสร้างสมรรถนะครูด้านการจัดการเรียนรู้สะเต็มศึกษา สังกัดสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษาประถมศึกษาสุรินทร์ เขต 1 กลุ่มผู้ให้ข้อมูลได้แก่ ผู้บริหารและครูผู้สอน จำนวน 6 คน จากโรงเรียนที่มีแนวปฏิบัติที่ดี จำนวน 3 โรงเรียน และผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิตรวจสอบยืนยัน ประเมินความเหมะสมและความเป็นไปได้ของโปรแกรม จำนวน 7 คน โดยการเลือกแบบเจาะจง เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย ได้แก่ แบบสัมภาษณ์กึ่งโครงสร้าง แบบประเมินความเหมาะสม และความเป็นไปได้ของโปรแกรม สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล ได้แก่ ร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน ค่าดัชนีความสอดคล้อง และค่าดัชนีความต้องการจำเป็น (PNImodified)

ผลการวิจัยพบว่า

1. สภาพปัจจุบันของสมรรถนะครูด้านการจัดการเรียนรู้สะเต็มศึกษา สังกัดสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษาประถมศึกษาสุรินทร์ เขต 1 โดยรวมอยู่ในระดับมาก และสภาพที่พึงประสงค์ของสมรรถนะครูด้านการจัดการเรียนรู้สะเต็มศึกษา สังกัดสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษาประถมศึกษาสุรินทร์ เขต 1 โดยรวมอยู่ในระดับมากที่สุด

2. โปรแกรมเสริมสร้างสมรรถนะครูด้านการจัดการเรียนรู้สะเต็มศึกษา สังกัดสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษาประถมศึกษาสุรินทร์ เขต 1 ประกอบด้วย 1) หลักการ 2) วัตถุประสงค์ 3) เนื้อหา แบ่งออกเป็น 3 Module ได้แก่ Module 1 ความรู้ (Knowledge) เกี่ยวกับการจัดการเรียนรู้สะเต็มศึกษา Module 2 ทักษะ (Skills) การจัดการเรียนรู้สะเต็มศึกษา และ Module 3 คุณลักษณะ (Attributes) การจัดการเรียนรู้สะเต็มศึกษา 4) วิธีการพัฒนา 5) การวัดประเมินผล ผลการประเมินโปรแกรมเสริมสร้างสมรรถนะครูด้านการจัดการเรียนรู้สะเต็มศึกษา สังกัดสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษาประถมศึกษาสุรินทร์ เขต 1 พบว่า โดยรวมมีความเหมาะสมอยู่ในระดับมากที่สุด และความเป็นไปได้อยู่ในระดับมาก
