Development of Progression Tracking System for Faculty Level Project of Mahasarakham University

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to develop a system for tracking the progression of projects carried out at the Faculty of Mahasarakham University, and to study user satisfaction towards the system. The system was designed in accordance with SDLC (System Development Life Cycle). PHP web application technology and MySQL database were also employed. Black box testing was used to examine the system performance, and then user satisfaction towards the system was measured. The results revealed that the tracking system implemented at the Faculty of Mahasarakham University was found to match perfectly with the research objectives. The overall user satisfaction was at the ‘high’ level. Thus, the system could be approved to be responsive to the users’ needs and organizationally practical.

งานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อพัฒนาระบบกำกับติดตามโครงการในระดับคณะของมหาวิทยาลัยมหาสารคาม และเพื่อศึกษาความพึงพอใจของผู้ใช้งานระบบ โดยประยุกต์ใช้หลักการพัฒนาระบบแบบ SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) ในการพัฒนาระบบใช้เทคโนโลยีเว็บแอปพลิเคชัน ภาษาพีเอชพี (PHP) และระบบจัดการฐานข้อมูลมายเอสคิวแอล (MySQL) ทดสอบระบบแบบกล่องดำ (Black Box Testing) จากนั้นประเมินความพึงพอใจของผู้ใช้งานระบบดังกล่าว ผลการวิจัย พบว่า ระบบกำกับติดตามโครงการในระดับคณะของมหาวิทยาลัยมหาสารคาม สามารถทำงานได้ตามวัตถุประสงค์ของการวิจัย ผลการประเมินความพึงพอใจของผู้ใช้งานโดยภาพรวมอยู่ในระดับมาก แสดงให้เห็นว่าระบบมีประสิทธิภาพตอบสนองความต้องการของผู้ใช้งาน และสามารถนำไปใช้ในการกำกับติดตามโครงการในองค์กรได้
