Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother and Her Contribution to Thai Female Costume

Abstract

The purpose on this study aims to study the roles of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother with the Thai Women Costume. In-depth research process was used, the data was studied and analyzed the results of the promotion and Thai Fabric conservation by Her Majesty Queem Sirikit The Queen Mother in order to guide on strategic planning and policy development of textiles and costume in the consecutive years. According to this research, research design process was used in order to cover a wide range, including searching the other resources documents, and in-depth interviews. Data selection, categories and sequence data in a systematic manner were used.

The research was found that Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother had her perseverance in promoting and Thai Fabric conservation for the benefit of inhabitants and restored the national cultural heritage, promoted the textile heritage of craftsmanship which is going to disappear to Thai society to become widely popular once again. In order that her fully kindness of generous towards inhabitants and concentrated them to have some career and extra income that leaded to traditional textile conservation and development of the traditional textile production process through the quality standards. It is concluded that Her Majest Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother is the leader in the uniform of the Thai Royal Dress and wearing Thai Fabric Costume is widely known in the country and overseas. It becomes an acceptance in Thai Royal Dress and Thai Fabric Costume are today costume for Thai women.

งานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาบทบาทของสมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิติ์ พระบรมราชินีนาถ พระบรมราชชนนีพันปีหลวง กับเครื่องแต่งกายสตรีแบบไทย โดยใช้กระบวนการวิจัยเชิงลึก นำข้อมูลที่ได้มาศึกษาและวิเคราะห์ผลที่ได้จากการการส่งเสริมและอนุรักษ์ผ้าไทยของสมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิติ์ พระบรมราชินีนาถ พระบรมราชชนนีพันปีหลวง เพื่อเป็นแนวทางในการวางยุทธศาสตร์และนโยบายการพัฒนาสิ่งทอและเครื่องแต่งกายในอนาคตต่อไป งานวิจัยนี้ใช้กระบวนการออกแบบงานวิจัย ที่มีความหลากหลายเพื่อให้ครอบคลุม ประกอบด้วยการค้นคว้าแหล่งข้อมูลจากเอกสาร และการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึก โดยมีกระบวนการคัดเลือกข้อมูล จัดแบ่งหมวดหมู่ และลำดับข้อมูลอย่างเป็นระบบ

จากการศึกษาพบว่า สมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิติ์ พระบรมราชินีนาถ พระบรมราชชนนีพันปีหลวง ทรงพระวิริยะอุตสาหะในการส่งเสริมและอนุรักษ์ผ้าไทย เพื่อประโยชน์สุขของราษฏรและฟื้นฟูมรดกศิลปวัฒนธรรมของชาติ ทรงส่งเสริมการทอผ้าอันเป็นมรดกหัตถศิลป์ของชาติที่กำลังจะสูญหายไปจากสังคมไทยให้กลับมาได้รับความนิยมอย่างกว้างขวางอีกครั้ง ทั้งนี้ด้วยน้ำพระราชหฤทัยที่เปี่ยมด้วยความเมตากรุณาต่อพสกนิกรและความมุ่งมั่นที่จะให้ชาวบ้านมีอาชีพทำกินและมีรายได้เสริม ส่งผลไปสู่การอนุรักษ์ผ้าโบราณและการพัฒนากรรมวิธีการผลิตให้ได้คุณภาพระดับมาตรฐาน สรุปได้ว่า สมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิติ์ พระบรมราชินีนาถ พระบรมราชชนนีพันปีหลวง ทรงเป็นผู้นำในการฉลองพระองค์ชุดไทยพระราชนิยมและแต่งกายด้วยผ้าไทยจนเป็นที่รู้จักแพร่หลายในประเทศและต่างประเทศ จนเป็นที่ยอมรับว่าการแต่งกายด้วยชุดไทยพระราชนิยมและการแต่งกายด้วยผ้าไทยเป็นเครื่อแต่งกายสตรีแบบไทยในยุคปัจจุบัน
