The Thai-Vietnamese in Ban Tha Rae : Resilience of cultural pluralism to promote the identity of Sakon Nakhon

Abstract

The research had 2 purposes: 1) to study the history of resilience of cultural pluralism in Tha Rae community, Sakon Nakhon province and 2) to study the current conditions of resilience of cultural pluralism in Tha Rae community, Sakon Nakhon province and 3) to study the ways of promoting the identity of Thai people of Vietnamese descent, Ban Tha Rae, Sakon Nakhon Province The area of study was Tha Rae community, Tha Rae subdistrict, Mueang district, Sakon Nakhon province The informants were 60 divided into 3 groups: 1) key informants those were 15 , 2) casual informants those were25; 3) general informants those were 25. Data were collected by using an in-depth interview, a participant observation, a non-participant observation, and a documentary analysis in people who lived inside and outside the community. Additionally, as a guideline for conducting the research. A triangular investigation was applied to analyze and a descriptive analysis wasused for presenting research results.

The results showed that the history played a key role in the resilience of cultural pluralism in Tha Rae community whose ancestors are descended from Laotians and Vietnamese. In the past, Tha Rae community was subjected to religious persecution from government policies and outsiders. But Tha Rae community uses Christianity as their anchor. Moreover, people in Tha Rae community have strong Christian faith as the foundation. There has been a development of multicultural adjustment of the community divided into 3 eras: the founding of the community. Community Development Era And in the present era, most of the economy is based on trading occupations. การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาประวัติความเป็นมาและพัฒนาการของการปรับปรนทางพหุลักษณ์วัฒนธรรมของคนไทยเชื้อสายเวียดนามบ้านท่าแร่ เพื่อศึกษาสภาพปัจจุบันของการปรับปรนทางพหุลักษณ์วัฒนธรรมของคนไทยเชื้อสายเวียดนามบ้านท่าแร่และเพื่อศึกษาแนวทางการส่งเสริมเอกลักษณ์ของคนไทยเชื้อสายเวียดนามบ้านท่าแร่จังหวัดสกลนคร พื้นที่ในการวิจัยได้แก่ ชุมชนท่าแร่ ตำบลท่าแร่ อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดสกลนคร กลุ่มตัวอย่างมีจำนวนทั้งหมด 60 คน ประกอบด้วยกลุ่มผู้รู้ จำนวน 15 คน กลุ่มผู้ปฏิบัติ จำนวน 25 คน และกลุ่มผู้ให้ข้อมูลทั่วไป จำนวน 20 คนรวม เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลคือ แบบสำรวจ แบบสังเกต แบบสัมภาษณ์ และแบบสนทนากลุ่ม เก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลโดยการสำรวจ การสังเกต การสัมภาษณ์ และการสนทนากลุ่มวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลเชิงคุณภาพใช้เทคนิคการตรวจสอบแบบสามเส้า นำเสนอผลการวิจัยโดยวิธีพรรณนาวิเคราะห์

ผลการวิจัยพบว่า ชุมชนท่าแร่เป็นชุมชนพหุวัฒนธรรมที่มีบรรพบุรุษสืบเชื้อสายจากชาวลาวและชาวเวียดนาม ซึ่งในอดีตชุมชนท่าแร่เคยถูกเบียดเบียนศาสนาจากนโยบายของรัฐและคนนอกชุมชน แต่ชุมชนท่าแร่ใช้ศาสนาคริสต์เป็นที่ยึดเหนี่ยวจิตใจ อีกทั้งคนในชุมชนท่าแร่มีความศรัทธาทางศาสนาคริสต์อย่างแรงกล้าเป็นรากฐาน มีพัฒนาการของการปรับปรนทางพหุลักษณ์วัฒนธรรมของชุมชนแบ่งออกเป็น 3 ยุค ได้แก่ ยุคก่อตั้งชุมชน ยุคพัฒนาชุมชน และยุคปัจจุบัน ด้านเศรษฐกิจ ส่วนใหญ่ยึดถืออาชีพค้าขาย ด้านที่อยู่อาศัย ส่วนใหญ่มีการสร้างบ้านเป็นกระต๊อบ กระท่อมหรือ โรงนา ฝาสานด้วยไม้ไผ่ฉาบปูน พื้นอัดด้วยดิน บางกลุ่มสร้างบ้านเป็นตึกแถวประตูด้านหน้าเป็นบานพับ ด้านอาหาร รับประทานอาหารที่มีรสจืดมีผักเป็นเครื่องเคียง ด้านการศึกษา ส่วนใหญ่เรียนในโรงเรียนเซนต์โยเซฟ เน้นภาษาอังกฤษ ด้านความเชื่อศาสนาประเพณีพิธีกรรม มีประเพณีบุญฉลองวัด ประเพณีจุดเทียนรำลึก และประเพณีแห่ดาวคริสต์มาส

สภาพปัจจุบันของการปรับปรนทางพหุลักษณ์วัฒนธรรม ในด้านเศรษฐกิจ ส่วนใหญ่มีอาชีพค้าขาย ทำธุรกิจส่วนตัว และรับราชการ ด้านที่อยู่อาศัยส่วนใหญ่เป็นตึกพาณิชย์ ตึกแถว สร้างบ้านตามสมัยนิยม ด้านอาหารนิยมรับประทานอาหารเวียดนาม อาหารไทย อาหารไทยอีสาน อาหารจีนและอาหารฝรั่ง ด้านการศึกษาถ้าเป็นคนมีทุนทรัพย์จะส่งลูกหลานเข้าไปเรียนโรงเรียนประจำจังหวัดหรือส่งลูกหลานไปเรียนโรงเรียนเอกชนรวมถึงต่างประเทศ ด้านความเชื่อศาสนา ประเพณีพิธีกรรม ชุมชนท่าแร่มีทั้งนับถือศาสนาพุทธ และนับถือศาสนาคริสต์ สะท้อนให้เห็นถึงการปรับปรนเพื่อที่จะให้กลมกลืนกับคนอีสาน ด้านครอบครัวและเครือญาติจะเห็นได้ว่ายังคงรูปแบบการแต่งงานแบบเวียดนามอยู่

แนวทางการส่งเสริมเอกลักษณ์ของคนไทยเชื้อสายเวียดนามบ้านท่าแร่จังหวัดสกลนคร ทั้ง 6 ด้าน มีการปรับปรนทางพหุลักษณ์วัฒนธรรมเกิดตั้งแต่ยุคก่อตั้งชุมชน ยุคพัฒนาชุมชน จะมาถึงยุคปัจจุบัน ที่เห็นได้ชัดเจนที่สุดคือยุคปัจจุบันที่มีสร้างอัตลักษณ์ที่โดดเด่นคือประเพณีแห่ดาวคริสต์มาส ที่คนในชุมชนร่วมกันพัฒนาร่วมกันสืบสาน ซึ่งการสืบสานประเพณีแห่ดาวโดยผู้นำเป็นการส่งเสริมให้ผู้นำชุมชนได้แสดงศักยภาพความเป็นผู้นำของตนออกมาอย่างเต็มที่ ด้วยการเข้ามาแสดงบทบาทในกลไกการสืบสาน ถึงแม้จะไม่มีหน้าที่รับผิดชอบในฐานะกรรมการที่มาจากการแต่งตั้งก็ตาม แท้จริงแล้วผู้ที่มีส่วนในกระบวนการสืบสานมิได้มีเพียงผู้นำเท่านั้น แต่ต้องเป็นสมาชิกในชุมชนทุกเพศวัย หน่วยงานภาครัฐ เอกชนจากภายนอก รวมถึงนักท่องท่องเที่ยวด้วย

โดยสรุป ด้านเศรษฐกิจ ด้านที่อยู่อาศัย ด้านอาหาร ด้านการศึกษา ด้านความเชื่อศาสนา ประเพณีวัฒนธรรม ด้านครอบครัวและเครือญาติ จะเป็นแนวทางการพัฒนาและรูปแบบในการดำเนินชีวิตของชาวไทยเชื้อชาติอื่น ๆ ที่อาศัยอยู่ประเทศไทยได้เป็นอย่างดี
