Abstract: As a Chinese religion, Taoism has developed for more than 2000 years in China. The culture of Taoism is closely related to the life and customs of Chinese people. Baiyun temple in Jia county is one of the famous Taoist temples in Shaanxi Province of China, with a history of more than 400 years. Based on the field investigation of the music of Baiyun temple in Jia County, this paper firstly sorts out its history and origin; secondly, it records and analyzes the music in the Taoist music ceremony of Jia County, Baiyun temple; finally, it analyzes the characteristics of instrumental music and vocal music of Baiyun temple Taoist music. The purpose is to make contributions to the transminssion and development of the Taoist music of Baiyun temple in Jia county through field investigation, and to provide field materials for scholars who study the Taoist music of Baiyun temple in Jia County in the future.
