The Creation of Contemporary Isan Folk Dance of Roiet College of Dramatic Arts

Abstract

The Creation of Contemporary Isan Folk Dance is a development plan of Roi Et College of Dramatic Arts that has been continued since 2009. Isan Lai Mangkon Show is the creation of a performance which combines the two cultural performances of Thai-Chinese people in the Northeast Region.

This research aimed to study the development of the Creation of Contemporary Isan Folk Dance of Roi Et College of Dramatic Arts and to analyze the concept of the invention process of Contemporary Isan Folk Dance entitled Isan Lai Mangkon of Roi Et College of Dramatic Arts. It was a qualitative research using document and field data collection based on the statements of specific samples that consisted of 4 key informants, 4 casual informants, and 33 general informants. Research instruments were a survey form, an observation form, a structured interview form, and an unstructured interview form. Research results were presented by means of a descriptive analysis.

The research results revealed that Roi Et College of Dramatic Arts created a contemporary Isan folk dance entitled Isan Lai Mangkon based on the concept of storytelling concerning the way of life of Chinese people that begins from leaving from their mother land to the land of Siam, settling in Isan region, carrying on trade and labour until they have a good economic and prosperous status that leads them to happiness ,wealth, and stability. New techniques were used in the process of combining international standards with acting techniques. The style of the show is a dance mixed with storytelling by combining the gestures of Chinese dance with the gestures of Thai dance. Performing props are used to represent symbols. It is focused on beauty, unison of performers’ movement, and a variety of variations in the row. The creation process of the show of Isan Lai Mangkon can be used as a principle and a guideline for the creation of contemporary dance principally.

การสร้างสรรค์นาฏศิลป์พื้นบ้านอีสานร่วมสมัย เป็นแผนพัฒนาของวิทยาลัยนาฏศิลปร้อยเอ็ดที่สืบเนื่องมาตั้งแต่ปี พ.ศ. 2552 การแสดงชุดอีสานลายมังกร เป็นการสร้างสรรค์การแสดงชุดหนึ่งที่มีการผสมผสานการแสดงสองวัฒนธรรมของคนไทยเชื้อสายสายจีนในภาคอีสาน

การวิจัยในครั้งนี้มีจุดประสงค์ที่จะศึกษาพัฒนาการการสร้างสรรค์นาฏศิลป์พื้นบ้านอีสานร่วมสมัยวิทยาลัยนาฏศิลปร้อยเอ็ดและวิเคราะห์แนวคิดกระบวนการนาฏยประดิษฐ์นาฏศิลป์พื้นบ้านอีสานร่วมสมัยชุดอีสานลายมังกร ของวิทยาลัยนาฏศิลปร้อยเอ็ด ใช้วิธีการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ โดยการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลจากเอกสารและข้อมูลภาคสนามจากกลุ่มตัวอย่างแบบเจาะจง ได้แก่สัมภาษณ์จากผู้รู้ จำนวน 4 คน กลุ่มผู้ปฏิบัติด้านนาฏศิลป์พื้นบ้านอีสานจำนวน 4 คน ครู อาจารย์นักแสดงจำนวน 33 คน เครื่องมือในการวิจัยประกอบด้วยแบบสำรวจ แบบสังเกต แบบสัมภาษณ์ ที่มีโครงสร้างและไม่มีโครงสร้าง และนำเสนอผลงานวิจัยด้วยวิธีพรรณนาวิเคราะห์

ผลการวิจัยพบว่า วิทยาลัยนาฏศิลปร้อยเอ็ดได้สร้างสรรค์การแสดงพื้นบ้านอีสานร่วมสมัยชุดอีสานลายมังกร อยู่ภายใต้กรอบแนวคิด เพื่อบอกเล่าเรื่องราวความเป็นอยู่ตั้งแต่เริ่มต้นการเดินทางจากแผ่นดินแม่ของชาวจีน มาถึงแดนสยาม และลงหลักปักฐานในถิ่นอีสาน ประกอบอาชีพการค้าขาย ใช้แรงงาน จนมีฐานะทางเศรษฐกิจที่ดีขึ้นเกิดความ เจริญรุ่งเรืองในชีวิตที่นำไปสู่ความสุขสบาย ร่ำรวย มั่งคงโดยมีกระบวนการประสมผสานเทคนิคการแสดงได้ มาตรฐานสากล ด้วยเทคนิคใหม่ๆ รูปแบบการแสดงเป็นเรื่องราวผสมระบำ โดยนำลีลาท่าทางนาฏศิลป์จีนเข้ามาผสมกับลีลาท่าทางนาฏศิลป์ไทย มีการใช้อุปกรณ์ประกอบการแสดงเพื่อแทนสัญลักษณ์ ที่เน้นความสวยงาม การเคลื่อนไหวที่พร้อมเพรียงกัน มีรูปแบบการแปรแถวที่หลากหลาย ซึ่งกระบวนการสร้างสรรค์ ชุดการแสดงอีสานลายมังกร สามารถนำมาเป็นหลักการและเป็นแนวทางในการสร้างสรรค์นาฏศิลป์ร่วมสมัยได้อย่างมีหลักการ
