Abstract:               In the development trend of today's modern society, people always find things that are simple, natural, primitive and close to nature to balance life. Especially in the field of tourism, Vietnam is promoting the system of developing community cultural tourism, tourism associated with the locality. Grasping that situation, I want to study the motifs on the K’tu ethnic costumes, It is a traditional brocade weaving village of the K’tu ethnic group - Quang Nam province. The traditional ethnic costumes of the K’tu people, are typical products of the nation, expressing the cultural identity of the K’tu people, formed by very rough hand-weaving tools. combining with sophisticated weaving techniques under the finesse, industriousness and ingenuity of the women here. The traditional costume of the K’tu ethnic group becomes special and impressive by the art of decorating patterns on that costume. The patterns on the costumes of the K’tu ethnic group carry the typical beauty of the Truong Son region of Quang Nam. It is a symbolic system depicted by the people here from events and phenomena that are close to their own lifestyle, culture, beliefs and conceptions, clearly reflecting all aspects of the culture social life. The pattern system is not only to decorate and beautify the costumes, but also contains many values in terms of meaning as well as visual arts, and at the same time shows the typical identity of the K’tu ethnic group. To preserve and promote that cultural identity of the K’tu ethnic group, is the subject of many scientific researchers in all fields. As an activist in the applied arts industry, I want to bring that identity value, create a new product with national characteristics to serve tourists, it is also a topic of contribution. promoting the socio-cultural and economic development of the locality. In this study, the main three research objectives are clarified:               1. To study the historical development process of K’tu ethnic community and the K’tu ethnic group, Social context of the K’tu ethnic group compared with the general context of society..               2. To study the formation and development of patterns on ethnic costumes, the meaning and characteristics of patterns on costumes expressing the K’tu  ethnic identity.               3. To create the process of creating patterned products with ethnic identity applied to souvenir products for tourists.               The topic mainly uses qualitative research methods and creates new products, by methods such as filling in, interviewing, synthesizing documents and surveying.               The study of the values of textures and patterns on the K’tu ethnic costumes - Quang Nam combined with the products of these ethnic villages, in order to create new models of souvenirs for tourism, both domestic and international. identity, contributing to promoting the K’tu ethnic culture to everyone, and developing the economic value of the people here.               In the current situation, society is facing economic difficulties in general and tourism in particular due to the covid 19 pandemic. Quang Nam tourism industry is also seriously affected, especially tourism. localities in the areas of the K’tu ethnic group. Some weaving villages are closed due to lack of tourists. The research and development of a model of souvenir products bearing the identity of the K’tu ethnic group is very necessary in this period, so in my opinion, this topic is very necessary for the development of souvenirs. in particular, tourism development and economy in general. This will also be a valuable resource, useful models for future operations when the economy and businesses recover after the global pandemic ends.
