Development of Blended Problem-Based Learning to Enhance Problem-Solving Ability and Academic Achievement of Undergraduate Students

Abstract

This research aimed to: 1) Develop an effective blended problem-based learning management approach that meets the 80/80 criteria. 2) Compare undergraduate students' learning achievement and problem-solving abilities after using the blended problem-based learning approach, which should exceed 80%. 3) Study the satisfaction levels of undergraduate students in the Energy Technology course using the blended problem-based approach. The sample consisted of 30 undergraduate students from Rajabhat Maha Sarakham University in the 2nd semester of the 2020 academic year, selected by cluster random sampling. The research instruments included: 1) A 7-hour blended problem-based learning plan. 2) A 20-item multiple-choice problem-solving ability test. 3) A 60-item multiple-choice learning achievement test. The data were analyzed using percentage, mean, standard deviation, and t-test statistics. The results showed: 1) The blended problem-based learning management was 80.22/89.61 effective. 2) Students' learning achievement was significantly higher than 80% at the .05 level. 3) Students' problem-solving ability were significantly higher than the 80% at the .05 level. 4) Students were most satisfied with the blended problem-based learning approach (mean = 4.91, SD = 0.31).

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีความมุ่งหมายเพื่อ 1) พัฒนาการจัดการเรียนรู้แบบผสมผสานที่ใช้ปัญหาเป็นฐานให้มีประสิทธิภาพตามเกณฑ์ 80/80 2) เปรียบเทียบผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียนและความสามารถในการแก้ปัญหาทางการเรียนของนักศึกษา ระดับปริญญาตรี สูงกว่าเกณฑ์ร้อยละ 80 ด้วยบทเรียนแบบผสมผสานที่ใช้ปัญหาเป็นฐาน 3) ศึกษาความพึงพอใจของของนักศึกษา รายวิชาเทคโนโลยีพลังงาน หลักสูตรระดับปริญญาตรี กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการวิจัยครั้งนี้ คือ นักศึกษาในระดับปริญญาตรี มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏมหาสารคาม ภาคเรียนที่ 2 ปีการศึกษา 2563 จำนวน 30 คน ได้จากการสุ่มแบบกลุ่ม (Cluster random sampling) เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยประกอบด้วย 1) แผนการจัดการเรียนรู้แบบผสมผสานที่ใช้ปัญหาเป็นฐาน จำนวนชั่วโมง 7 ชั่วโมง 2) แบบวัดความสามารถในการแก้ปัญหา ชนิดปรนัย 4 ตัวเลือก จำนวน 20 ข้อ 3) แบบทดสอบผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียน ชนิดปรนัย 4 ตัวเลือก จำนวน 60 ข้อ สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล ได้แก่ ร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และสถิติทดสอบที (t-test) ผลการวิจัยพบว่า 1) ผลการการจัดการเรียนรู้แบบผสมผสานที่ใช้ปัญหาเป็นฐาน มีประสิทธิภาพเท่ากับ 80.22/89.61 2) ผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียนสูงกว่าเกณฑ์ร้อยละ 80 อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 3) ผลการวัดความสามารถในการแก้ปัญหาของนักศึกษาสูงกว่าเกณฑ์ร้อยละ 80 อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 4) นักศึกษามีความพึงพอใจต่อการเรียนด้วยการจัดการเรียนรู้แบบผสมผสานที่ใช้ปัญหาเป็นฐาน อยู่ในระดับความพึงพอใจมากที่สุด มีค่าเฉลี่ยเท่ากับ 4.91 และส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐานเท่ากับ 0.31
