The Development of Fall Prevention Model for Elderly in Thepsathit Subdistrict Municipality, Thepsathit District, Chaiyaphum Province

Abstract

This present study is action research aimed to developing a fall prevention program for elderly people in Thepsathit subdistrict municipality, Thepsathi District, Chaiyaphum Province, by applying Kemmis and McTaggart’s concepts. The 43 target groups consist of 4 elderly people and 39 stakeholders, including politics, academics, and the citizen sector. The data was collected both qualitative and quantitative. The frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and paired sample t-test were applied for data analysis. การวิจัยครั้งนี้เป็นการวิจัยเชิงปฏิบัติการ (Action Research) มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อพัฒนารูปแบบเพื่อป้องกันการพลัดตกหกล้มของผู้สูงอายุ ในเขตเทศบาลตำบลเทพสถิต อำเภอเทพสถิต จังหวัดชัยภูมิ โดยประยุกต์ใช้แนวคิดของเคมมิส และแมคแท็กการ์ท กลุ่มเป้าหมาย จำนวน 43 คน ประกอบด้วย ผู้สูงอายุกลุ่มติดบ้าน จำนวน 4 คน และกลุ่มผู้มีส่วนได้ส่วนเสีย ได้แก่ ภาคการเมือง ภาควิชาการ และภาคประชาชน จำนวน 39 คน เก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลทั้งเชิงปริมาณและเชิงคุณภาพ สำหรับสถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล ได้แก่ ความถี่ ร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และเปรียบเทียบค่าเฉลี่ยของข้อมูลโดยใช้สถิติ Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test ผลการศึกษา พบว่า การเตรียมความพร้อมในการจัดบริการ หลังการดำเนินการมีมากกว่าก่อนดำเนินการอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ (p-value
