Abstract: According to statistics, in 2022, there were a total of 3,013 higher education institutions in China, with various forms of higher education enrolling 46.55 million students. Approximately 13.965 million college students faced quality of life issues. Therefore, the psychological health problems faced by college students have significantly affected their quality of life and should be given high attention. This study takes Sichuan Vocational College of Health and Rehabilitation as an example to explore the impact of plant landscape color on the quality of life of college students. The research adopted a mixed-method approach, combining quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews, with a sample of 328 students. The survey tool assessed students' satisfaction with plant landscape color and quality of life. The study utilized SPSS software to establish a linear regression model with the four dimensions of quality of life as dependent variables and the five dimensions of plant landscape color as independent variables. Subsequently, the model was analyzed through regression equations to verify the hypothetical relationships between plant landscape color and each sub-dimension's impact on the quality of life of college students. During the verification process, this paper tested the tolerance and variance inflation factor (VIF) of each independent variable to determine whether there was a problem of multicollinearity. In the qualitative data analysis, content analysis was used, and qualitative interviews provided an opportunity for in-depth insights into students' personal experiences and preferences. The results showed that "Plant landscape color" is an independent influencing factor of "Quality of life" satisfaction and has a positive impact, meaning that the higher the satisfaction with "Plant landscape color," the higher the satisfaction with "Quality of life." This implies that if schools want to improve students' quality of life, they must start with "Plant landscape color." The study concludes that careful planning of campus landscapes, with attention to color diversity and distribution, can enhance students' quality of life. It is recommended that universities consider and focus on the planning of plant landscape colors when making decisions about campus development and maintenance. This study has enriched the theoretical system of the field of college students' quality of life and plant landscape color to a certain extent and has also inspired research in the field of plant landscape color in other schools.
