dc.description.abstractThe objectives of this thesis were as follows to 1) analyze the singing techniques of Yu Opera. 2) analyze the singing techniques transmission by Chen Baizhen in the teaching of Yu Opera Mulan.The research methods obtain observational studies, in-depth interviews and document analysis.The key informant is Chen Baizhen,a descendant of Chang Xiangyu, the master of Yu Opera. The result of this study show that: 1. There are three general singing techniques of Yu Opera:1) sound prdouction,oral resonance mainly mixed with the head cavity resonance, it is based on the real sound, while the use of true and false sound mixed. 2) words in singing,uch a tone of value is Henan dialect, sing to have the flavor of Yu Opera. 3) lubricating tune is the most commonly used artistic expression technique in Yu Opera singing. 2. There are 11 Chang School Yu Opera singing techniques succeed by Chen Baizhen:1) Exaggerate the spelling process of initials and finals. 2) Melodic Central Plains intonation. 3) Colloquial expression of opera language. 4) Sonorous and exciting sound color. 5)A smooth and colorful musical expression. 6) Vocal and emotional transmission focused on shaping the musical image. 7) Aesthetic expression with a rustic flavor. 8) The singing style is impassioned and energetic. 9) The colloquial five-character connected "five-tone joint play" singing method. 10) The free connection between oral cavity and nasal cavity and the singing techniques based on "tubules". 11) True and false sound mixed singing techniques.These singing techniques were succeed by Chen Baizhen from the Yu Opera master Chang Xiangyu. These techniques include the general singing techniques of Yu opera.en
