| Abstract: | The visual arts creation thesis entitled Freedom from Bondage. was inspired by people during the COVID-19 when the combination of epidemic policies and illness caused great restrictions in their daily lives. This study aimed to Using Chinese auspicious cultural elements, combined with the needs and aesthetics of modern society, it leads viewers to think about the importance of strength and tenacity in difficult situations, and inspires people to move forward courageously when facing challenges. The scope of conceptual creation of the study was Freedom from Bondage. The forms of the creation work included Use traditional Chinese auspicious and blessing symbols to express emotions and inspire people's courage to overcome difficulties, and the techniques were explores various techniques of Chinese knot weaving, showcasing the evolution of knot shapes and their abstract meanings. This creative work was conducted by the data collected from the conditions of the environment, the data from related documents, and the data about the creation of influential visual arts. The researcher analyzed the data to find the clarity of the theme, symbolic form, and creation techniques. There were Chinese auspicious cultureartistic works with unique characteristics.
The results of the study and creation revealed that showcase the depth of symbolism, artistic creativity, and cultural significance embedded within Chinese knot weaving, offering profound insights into themes of freedom, blessings, resilience, and the enduring heritage of Chinese culture.In conclusion the deep connection between traditional Chinese knots and the theme of breaking free from bondage. This connection goes beyond mere artistic expression, delving into the cultural, spiritual, and psychological dimensions of liberation. - |
