The Development of a Program to Enhance Teacher Competency in Active Learning Management in Small - Sized School under the Office of Secondary Educational Service Area Kalasin.

Abstract

This research aimed to (1) investigate the current conditions, desired conditions, and needs for enhancing teachers’ competencies in active learning management, and (2) develop and evaluate a competency enhancement program for teachers in active learning management, specifically targeting small schools under the jurisdiction of the Secondary Educational Service Area Office Kalasin. A mixed-methods research design was employed. The sample consisted of 187 teachers selected through stratified random sampling. Research instruments included questionnaires, semi-structured interviews, and a program suitability and feasibility assessment form. Data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, and a needs index.

The findings revealed that the current level of teachers’ competencies in active learning management was moderate, whereas the desired level was rated highest. The prioritized needs for competency enhancement, ranked from highest to lowest, were: knowledge of active learning management, skills in active learning management, and characteristics related to active learning management. The developed enhancement program comprised principles, objectives, content and activities, development methods, and evaluation procedures. The program content was structured into three modules: (1) knowledge of active learning management, (2) skills in active learning management, and (3) characteristics required for effective active learning management. The evaluation results indicated that both the program's suitability and feasibility were rated at the highest level.

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ของการวิจัย 1) เพื่อศึกษาสภาพปัจจุบัน สภาพที่พึงประสงค์ และความต้องการจำเป็นในการเสริมสร้างสมรรถนะครูด้านการจัดการเรียนรู้เชิงรุก และ 2) เพื่อพัฒนาและประเมินโปรแกรมเสริมสร้างสมรรถนะครูด้านการจัดการเรียนรู้เชิงรุก สำหรับสถานศึกษาขนาดเล็ก สังกัดสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษามัธยมศึกษากาฬสินธุ์ ใช้วิธีวิจัยแบบผสมผสาน กลุ่มตัวอย่าง ได้แก่ ครู จำนวน 187 คน โดยการสุ่มตัวอย่างแบบชั้นภูมิ เครื่องมือวิจัย ได้แก่ แบบสอบถาม แบบสัมภาษณ์แบบกึ่งโครงสร้างและแบบประเมินความเหมาะสมและความเป็นไปได้ของโปรแกรม สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล ได้แก่ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และดัชนีความต้องการจำเป็น

ผลการวิจัยพบว่า สภาพปัจจุบันของสมรรถนะครูด้านการจัดการเรียนรู้เชิงรุก โดยรวมอยู่ในระดับปานกลาง และสภาพที่พึ่งประสงค์ฯ โดยรวมอยู่ในระดับมากที่สุด ส่วนความต้องการจำเป็นในการเสริมสร้างฯ เรียงลำดับจากมากไปน้อย ได้แก่ ความรู้ด้านการจัดการเรียนรู้เชิงรุก ทักษะด้านการจัดการเรียนรู้เชิงรุกและคุณลักษณะด้านการจัดการเรียนรู้เชิงรุก โดยโปรแกรมเสริมสร้างสมรรถนะครูฯ ประกอบด้วย หลักการ วัตถุประสงค์ เนื้อหาและกิจกรรม วิธีการพัฒนา และการประเมินผลโปรแกรม ซึ่งเนื้อหาของโปรแกรมฯ ประกอบด้วย 3 Module ได้แก่ ความรู้ด้านการจัดการเรียนรู้เชิงรุก ทักษะด้านการจัดการเรียนรู้เชิงรุกและคุณลักษณะด้านการจัดการเรียนรู้เชิงรุก ส่วนผลการประเมินความเหมาะสมอยู่ในระดับมากที่สุดและความเป็นไปได้ของโปรแกรมอยู่ในระดับมาก
