The Development of Learning Achievement and Problem-Solving Skill of Matthayomsuksa 2 Students using Problem-Based Learning with Mind Mapping

Abstract

This study aimed to 1) develop the student’s learning achievement of Mathayomsuksa 2 studennts by using problem-based learning with mind mapping in order to help them at level 75% by number to pass 75% of classroom, 2) explore the student’s problem-solving skill using problem-based learning and mind mapping. The target group consisted of 19 students from Matthayonsuksa 2/1 stuudents at Suananan School under the Secondary Educational Service Office Area 1 (Kwaeng Ban Chang Lo, Khet Bangkok Noi, Bangkok). Research tools were the problem-based learning with mind mapping plan, student’s problem-solving skill test, the student’s problem-solving skill observation form, and the student interview form. Statistics were used for the data analysis consisted of percentage, mean, and standard deviation scores. The study outcomes indicated that during Cycle I, 9 participants passed 75% of the total score, at Cycle II, 15 of them passed 75% of the total score. By the end of Cycle I, 62.36% of the participants developed their problem-solving skill (Moderate) and after Cycle II, 71.84% of them developed more for their problem-solving skill (Good). Accordingly, the participant’s learning progress was resulted as good as expected. Most of the students significantly demonstrated their skill in problem-solving and problem analysis. They were able to efficiently identity the problem and its source. In term of solution finding, the students were able to suggest several approaches and choices for problem-solving and to give clear and complete description following a proper process.

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีความมุ่งหมาย 1) เพื่อพัฒนาผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียน วิชาวิทยาศาสตร์ เรื่อง อาหารและการดำรงชีวิตของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 2 ด้วยการจัดการเรียนรู้โดยใช้ปัญหาเป็นฐานร่วมกับแผนผังความคิดให้มีจำนวนนักเรียนอย่างน้อยร้อยละ 75 2) เพื่อศึกษาการคิดแก้ปัญหาของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 2 ด้วยการจัดการเรียนรู้โดยใช้ปัญหาเป็นฐานร่วมกับแผนผังความคิด กลุ่มเป้าหมายได้แก่ นักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 2/1 โรงเรียนสวนอนันต์ แขวงบ้านช่างหล่อ เขตบางกอกน้อย กรุงเทพมหานคร สังกัดสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษามัธยมศึกษา เขต 1 ภาคเรียนที่ 2 ปีการศึกษา 2560 จำนวน 19 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยได้แก่ แผนการจัดการเรียนรู้โดยใช้ปัญหาเป็นฐานร่วมกับแผนผังความคิด แบบทดสอบวัดผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียน แบบทดสอบวัดการคิดแก้ปัญหา แบบสังเกตพฤติกรรมการคิดแก้ปัญหา แบบสัมภาษณ์นักเรียน สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลได้แก่ ร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย และส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน ผลกาวิจัยพบว่า วงจรปฏิบัติการที่ 1 นักเรียนมีผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียนผ่านเกณฑ์ร้อยละ 75 จำนวน 9 คน วงจรปฏิบัติการที่ 2 นักเรียนมีผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียนผ่านเกณฑ์ร้อยละ 75 จำนวน 15 คน นักเรียนมีการคิดแก้ปัญหา สิ้นสุดวงจรปฏิบัติการที่ 1 คิดเป็นร้อยละ 62.36 อยู่ในเกณฑ์ระดับพอใช้ สิ้นสุดวงจรปฏิบัติการที่ 2 คิดเป็นร้อยละ 71.84 อยู่ในเกณฑ์ระดับดีตามเกณฑ์ที่กำหนดไว้ นักเรียนส่วนใหญ่มีพฤติกรรมการคิดแก้ปัญหาด้านการระบุปัญหาและด้านการวิเคราะห์ปัญหา สามารถบอกปัญหาและสาเหตุของปัญหาได้ดี และในด้านการกำหนดวิธีการแก้ปัญหานักเรียนสามารถกำหนดวิธีการที่สอดคล้องได้หลากหลายทางเลือก และนักเรียนสามารถอธิบายและบอกรายละเอียดได้ชัดเจน ถูกต้อง สมบูรณ์ตามขั้นตอนการคิดแก้ปัญหา
