Extracting Significant Data for Educational Services to Develop Student Manual Applications

Abstract

This research aimed to: 1) To collect and analyze preliminary data on user experience required for designing a Student manual applications by applying Web Scraping and Text Mining techniques. 2) To design and develop a student handbook application that displays important information and meets the needs of users in the digital age, based on the concept of User-Centered Design by collecting and extracting data on initial font and color tone using a web crawler and k-means clustering to obtain the data necessary for designing and developing a prototype student manual applications, then testing it with a sample group and making improvements.

The research results are as follows: 1) Web crawler data analysis and K-means clustering showed some efficiency, but there were still limitations in the context of the text. The overall cosine similarity distance and Recall values ​​of 0.78 and 0.75 were acceptable for preliminary data analysis. 2) The design of the user experience, the design of the user interface, and the development of the Student manual applications were at a very high quality level, as evaluated by experts. The results should be used for further improvement. In terms of the efficiency of the Student manual applications, the students evaluated it as very efficient, and the executives, teachers, and staff evaluated it as the most efficient. Therefore, the Student manual applications can be used to support the educational services of Surin Vocational College.

การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ดังนี้ 1) เพื่อรวบรวมและวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลเบื้องต้นเกี่ยวกับประสบการณ์ของผู้ใช้งานที่จำเป็นสำหรับการออกแบบแอปพลิเคชันคู่มือนักศึกษา โดยประยุกต์ใช้เทคนิคการสกัดและดึงข้อมูลจากเว็บไซต์และการทำเหมืองข้อความ 2) เพื่อออกแบบและพัฒนาแอปพลิเคชันคู่มือนักศึกษาที่แสดงข้อมูลสำคัญและตอบสนองความต้องการของผู้ใช้ในยุคดิจิทัล ตามแนวคิด การออกแบบสารสนเทศที่มีผู้ใช้เป็นศูนย์กลาง โดยการรวบรวมและสกัดข้อมูลในการกำหนดตัวอักษร และโทนสีเบื้องต้นด้วยเว็บครอว์เลอร์และการจับกลุ่มข้อมูลแบบค่าเฉลี่ยเค เพื่อให้ได้ข้อมูลที่จำเป็นในการออกแบบและพัฒนาแอปพลิเคชันคู่มือนักศึกษาต้นแบบ จากนั้นนำไปทดสอบกับกลุ่มตัวอย่าง และการปรับปรุงแก้ไข
