| Abstract: | The main concern of this study the singing technique of TaowanXia in
Sizhou opera in Suzhou city AnHui province,China. The objectives of this study include: (1) To study the development of Sizhou opera in AnHui province,China.(2) To analyze the Singing technique TaowanXia in Sizhou opera in Suzhou city,AnHui province, China. (3) To propose guidelines for the preservation and transmission of TaowanXia in Sizhou opera,China.Qualitative research methods were adopted in this study. Interviews, observations and questionnaires were used as research tools for data collection and research, including the information provided by Tao Wanxia, a key informant. The results are as follows:
The research focuses on the development period of Sizhou Opera. Through the field investigation and interview of teacher Tao Wanxia, we can understand the development research of Sizhou opera in different stages and see the progress of Sizhou Opera. It also makes teacher Tao Wanxia become the core figure of Sizhou opera inheritance.
The music analysis of the two songs reflects Tao Wanxia's skills and methods in singing Sizhou opera, such as the resonance of singing, the control of breath, etc., which make him become the cultural style and personal innovation of Sizhou Opera.
The study contributes to Sizhou opera dissemination and cultural heritage research, providing a case study on how traditional inheritors strike a balance between preservation and innovation. - |
