The research purpose of this artiele is as follows: 1) To study the singing techniques of Guilin folk songs in Guangxi Province, China; 2) To analyze the role played by Qin Guoming in Guilin folk songs in Guangxi.

1) The study found that folk singing in Guilin, Guangxi, China, employs techniques such as alterating between chest voice (powerful, resonant, low to medium tones) and falsetto (light, airy, high tones). Mixed voice combines both for balanced high notes, while yodeling involves rapid switching between the two. Skilled singer Qin Guoming often uses mixed voice for smooth, powerful high tones.

Additionally, ornamentation techniques like vibrato and glissando enhance melody and emotional expression, showcasing vocal control.

2) As an important inheritor of Guilin folk songs, Qin Guoming played a significant role in Guangxi Guilin folk songs through his singing practice and inheritance activities. His singing style combines tradition and innovation. This study explores the profound influence of Qin Guoming on the style, singing techniques, and cultural inheritance of Guilin folk songs through case analysis. He not only promoted the dissemination of Guilin folk songs through rich creative and singing practices, but also injected new vitality into this traditional art through education and innovative activities. In addition, he cultivated a large number of folk song inheritors through methods such as "teaching songs, singing, matching songs, and collecting songs", laying a solid foundation for the sustainable development of Guilin folk songs.
