Innovative Strategies for Protecting and Disseminating the Luoyang Linguistic Using Douyin Short Dramas

Abstract

The objectives of this research are to 1) To research the historical development and background of the Luoyang linguistic.2) To research the current situation and problems of the Luoyang linguistic.3) To research innovative strategies for protecting and disseminating Luoyang Linguistic Using Douyin Short Dramas.. This research adopts a qualitative research method, combining tools such as semi-structured interviews, participant observation, and digital content analysis. The research sample includes 7 local linguists, 10 cultural practitioners, Douyin content creators and 20 community members. A large amount of data was collected through field observations, in-depth interviews and a review of Douyin short videos with Luoyang linguistic characteristics, ensuring a comprehensive and representative understanding of the topic.

Based on the research objectives, the main findings of this research are as follows: 1) In terms of historical development and cultural background, Luoyang linguistic reflects a rich cultural heritage formed by local customs, traditions, and historical changes. Its pronunciation, vocabulary, and expressions are deeply rooted in the social life and identity of the region. 2) Regarding the characteristics and current challenges of Luoyang linguistic, Luoyang linguistic is an important cultural symbol and communication tool, but it is also facing threats such as urbanization, dominance of Mandarin, and reduced intergenerational inheritance. These challenges highlight the need for innovative solutions. 3) In terms of innovative strategies, Douyin short dramas have proven to be effective in language protection, providing a modern interactive platform for young audiences. However, limitations such as unstable content quality and insufficient integration into educational frameworks remain obstacles. To overcome these problems, this research recommends creating culturally rich and engaging drama content, promoting community participation, and using Douyin's recommendation algorithm to maximize reach and engagement.

The findings of this research provide a valuable foundation for further research on the preservation of local languages using digital media. They also offer practical recommendations for cultural policymakers, educators, and content creators to promote cultural heritage conservation, enhance regional cultural identity, and support the sustainable development of Luoyang linguistic in the digital age.
