Liuzhou River Snails Rice Noodle in China: Development of Local Wisdom, Cultural and Economic Value

Abstract

The purpose of this study is: 1) to study the historical development, production status, cultural connotation and value analysis of Liuzhou River Snail Rice Noodles. 2) to study the current cultural inheritance and economic development dilemma of Liuzhou River Snail Rice Noodles. 3) to study the application of packaging design in the cultural inheritance and economic development of Liuzhou River Snail Rice Noodles. This study is a qualitative study, with Liuzhou River Snail Rice Noodles as the research object. The research data was collected through relevant literature analysis, investigation, observation, interview, in-depth interview and group discussion. The research tools include survey method, observation method, interview method, structured and unstructured focus group discussion. The population sample of this study is 28 people, including national representative inheritors, cultural scholars, industry practitioners, cultural enthusiasts, packaging designers and local residents, and relevant theories are used to analyze the data. The research results are presented through descriptive analysis. The research results are as follows: (1) The study of the historical development, production status, cultural connotation and value analysis of Liuzhou River Snail Rice Noodles helps to understand the origin and cultural significance of this local specialty food. (2) The paper studies the current dilemma of the cultural inheritance and economic development of Liuzhou River Snail Rice Noodles, reveals the current status of production technology, digital marketing, market competition and intellectual property rights, points out that it faces problems such as homogeneous competition, shallow excavation of cultural connotations, lack of unified cultural symbols and lack of high-end creative talents, and emphasizes that the cultural and economic development of Liuzhou River Snail Rice Noodles should focus on connotation excavation and inheritance, combine traditional crafts with modern technology, and protect brand culture and economic value. (3) In order to cope with the above dilemma, the paper studies the application of packaging design in the cultural inheritance and economic development of Liuzhou River Snail Rice Noodles. Through innovative packaging design, the core elements of River Snail Rice Noodles are refined, Guangxi characteristics and Chinese culture are integrated, and the inheritance and promotion of River Snail Rice Noodles culture are realized.

A systematic study is conducted from multiple dimensions such as cultural ecology, cultural identity, semiotics and "5W" communication theory, analyzing the historical development, production status, cultural connotation and value of Liuzhou River Snail Rice Noodles, and exploring its dilemma in cultural inheritance and economic development, which has important practical significance. Through the application research of packaging design in the cultural inheritance and economic development of Liuzhou river snail rice noodles, the cultural influence and market competitiveness of river snail rice noodles can be effectively enhanced, and valuable experience and useful reference can be provided for the protection and development of other intangible cultural heritage
