dc.description.abstractThe visual arts creation thesis entitled “The Symbol of Life” was inspired by different perceptions of life. This study aimed to study the ideological concept, creative effect and aesthetic value of butterfly themed creative art works and to create visual art to present the symbol of life. The scope of conceptual creation of the study was feel rich emotions and our understanding of life in the present moment. The forms of the creation work included butterfly shaped and the techniques were tufting, embroid. This creative work was conducted by the data collected from the conditions of the environment, the date from documents and the data about the creation of related visual arts. The researcher analyzed the data to find the clarity of the theme, symbolic form and creation techniques. There were four artistic works with unique characteristics. The results of the study and creation revealed that the philosophy of life can be expressed through visualization. The butterfly as an art carrier, can imbue it with more meaning. In conclusion, these works themed around concepts such as freedom, vulnerability, love, growth and beauty, showcase the richness and versatility of mixed painting art in thematic expression. The pieces employ visual elements like color, texture, structure and space to create a rich visual experience and effectively convey the emotions and meanings of the works. In the future, further exploration of the integration of different materials and techniques can be pursued for example, combining painting, sculpture and installation art forms to create more innovative and expressive works.en
