Model Eliciting Activities Approach Instructional Management to Improve Mathematical Creative Skills on Statistics for Mathayomsuksa 2 Students

Abstract

The purposes of this study were: (1) to develop learning management based on Model Eliciting Activities (MEAs) in Statistics to enhance mathematical creative thinking ability for Grade 8 students with the efficiency criterion of 75/75, (2) to find the Effectiveness Index of learning management plans in Statistics using MEAs for Grade 8 students, (3) to compare the learning achievement mathematical and creative thinking ability of Grade 8 students in Statistics through MEAs-based learning management with the 75 percent criterion. The participants in this study were eight Grade 8 students from Ban Sarai School in the second semester, selected by using cluster random sampling. The research instruments were: (1) lesson plans based on MEAs to promote mathematical creative thinking in Statistics, (2) a mathematics achievement test, and (3) a mathematical creative thinking test. The statistics for data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation, and hypothesis testing using t-test for one sample

The results of the study were as follows: (1) the lesson plans for organizing mathematics learning activities using MEAs in Statistics had efficiency at 82.88/81.25, (2) the effectiveness index of the MEAs-based lesson plans was 0.7170, indicating that students’ scores increased by 71.70 percent, and (3) the learning achievement of students who studied Statistics through MEAs-based learning management was 81.25 percent, which was higher than the specified criterion of 75 percent at the .05 level of significance, and (4) the mathematical creative thinking ability of students who studied through MEAs-based learning management was 82.64 percent, which was higher than the specified criterion of 75 percent at the .05 level of significance.

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีจุดมุ่งหมาย (1) เพื่อพัฒนาการจัดการเรียนรู้ตามแนวคิด MEAs (Model Eliciting Activities) เพื่อพัฒนาความสามารถการคิดสร้างสรรค์ทางคณิตศาสตร์ เรื่อง สถิติ สำหรับนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 2 ที่มีประสิทธิภาพตามเกณฑ์ 75/75 (2) เพื่อศึกษาดัชนีประสิทธิผลของแผนการจัดการเรียนรู้ เรื่อง สถิติ ของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 2 จากการจัดการเรียนรู้ตามแนวคิด MEAs (3) เพื่อเปรียบเทียบผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียน และความสามารถการคิดสร้างสรรค์ทางคณิตศาสตร์จากการจัดการเรียนรู้ตามแนวคิด MEAs เรื่อง สถิติ สำหรับนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 2 กับเกณฑ์ร้อยละ 75 กลุ่มตัวอย่าง ได้แก่ นักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 2 ภาคเรียนที่ 2 โรงเรียนบ้านสาหร่าย จำนวน 8 คน โดยการสุ่มแบบกลุ่ม ซึ่งใช้โรงเรียนเป็นหน่วยของการสุ่ม เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในงานวิจัยครั้งนี้ ได้แก่ (1) แผนการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้ตามแนวคิด MEAs (Model Eliciting Activities) ที่ส่งเสริมความสามารถการคิดสร้างสรรค์ทางคณิตศาสตร์ เรื่อง สถิติ สำหรับนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 2 (2) แบบทดสอบวัดผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียนวิชาคณิตศาสตร์ (3) แบบวัดการคิดสร้างสรรค์ทางคณิตศาสตร์ สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล ได้แก่ ร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และ และทดสอบสมมติฐาน โดยใช้ t-test for one sample ผลการวิจัย พบว่า (1) แผนการจัดการเรียนรู้ตามแนวคิด MEAs เรื่อง สถิติ ชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 2 มีประสิทธิภาพ (E1/E2) ตามเกณฑ์ 82.88/81.25 (2) ดัชนีประสิทธิผล (E.I.) ของแผนการจัดการเรียนรู้ตามแนวคิด MEAs เรื่อง สถิติ ชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 2 เท่ากับ 0.7170 แสดงว่านักเรียนมีคะแนนเพิ่มขึ้นร้อยละ 71.70 (3) ผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียนของนักเรียนที่ได้รับการจัดการเรียนรู้ตามแนวคิด MEAs เรื่อง สถิติ ชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 2 คะแนนเฉลี่ย 24.38 คิดเป็นร้อยละ 81.25 ซึ่งสูงกว่าเกณฑ์ร้อยละ 75 ที่ระดับนัยสำคัญ .05 และ (4) ความสามารถในการคิดสร้างสรรค์ทางคณิตศาสตร์ของนักเรียนที่ได้รับการจัดการเรียนรู้ตามแนวคิด MEAs เรื่อง สถิติ ชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 2 คะแนนเฉลี่ย 29.75 คิดเป็นร้อยละ 82.64 ซึ่งสูงกว่าเกณฑ์ร้อยละ 75 ที่ระดับนัยสำคัญ .05
