การวิจัยเรื่อง “การพัฒนาการมีส่วนร่วมตามแนวคิดเศรษฐกิจสร้างสรรค์ในการจัดการท่องเที่ยวถนนสายวัฒนธรรมชุมชนหมื่นสาร จังหวัดเชียงใหม่” มีความมุ่งหมาย 3 ประการคือ 1) เพื่อศึกษาเอกลักษณ์ทางวัฒนธรรมและภูมิปัญญาของชุมชนหมื่นสาร จังหวัดเชียงใหม่ 2) เพื่อศึกษาสภาพการจัดการท่องเที่ยวและความต้องการในการจัดการท่องเที่ยวถนนสายวัฒนธรรมชุมชนหมื่นสาร จังหวัดเชียงใหม่ และ 3) เพื่อพัฒนาการมีส่วนร่วมตามแนวคิดเศรษฐกิจสร้างสรรค์ในการจัดการท่องเที่ยวถนนสายวัฒนธรรมชุมชนหมื่นสาร จังหวัดเชียงใหม่ โดยการวิจัยครั้งนี้เป็นการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ (Qualitative Research) ด้วยการวิจัยแบบ R&D เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย คือ แบบการสำรวจ แบบสัมภาษณ์ แบบสังเกต การสนทนากลุ่ม และการประชุมปฏิบัติการ โดยศึกษากับกลุ่มผู้รู้ ผู้ปฏิบัติ และ ผู้ให้ข้อมูลทั่วไป โดยเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลจากเอกสาร และทำการเก็บข้อมูลภาคสนาม ในพื้นที่ของชุมชนหมื่นสารและบ้านวัวลายทำการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลเชิงพรรณนา

จากผลการวิจัย พบว่า
