The Legend of a Standing Buddha : Memories Space of Society and Creation of Community Drama

Abstract

This research entitled The Legend of Standing Buddha: Space and Memory of Society and Creation of Community Drama aims at studying the physical space and social memory of Kantarawichai community, Mahasarakham province through the creation of community drama. To create and present the drama through the legendary priest Phra Yuen in Kantharawichai District, Mahasarakham province.

The results showed that the sacred Buddhist Temple (Wat Phra Yuen) is a sacred space, where people in the communities paid respect to the solemn Buddha Dhamma Yuen from the past to the present. Moreover, the interviewed children, youth and adults in the community, described this space as a Buddhist sacred area and people inside and outside the community worship the priest Yuen unremitting. In the process, Community Theater was created by involving the people from the community. People used their knowledge to understand Community Theater, create a new story based on the community's issues and develop into creative play, train and develop the people in the community, organizing theater performances. Thus, Community Drama can help to communicate with the community reflecting community issues. Also, the people in the community can understand the social issues and can lead to changes in the community.

การวิจัย เรื่อง ตำนานหลวงพ่อพระยืน : พื้นที่แห่งความทรงจำทางสังคมกับการสร้างสรรค์ละครชุมชน มีวัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อศึกษาพื้นที่ทางกายภาพกับความทรงจำทางสังคม ชุมชนกันทรวิชัย จังหวัดมหาสารคาม ผ่านการสร้างสรรค์ละครชุมชน และ เพื่อสร้างและนำเสนอผลงานละครชุมชนผ่านตำนานหลวงพ่อพระยืน อำเภอกันทรวิชัย จังหวัดมหาสารคาม

ผลการวิจัยพบว่าพื้นที่วัดพุทธมงคล(วัดพระยืน)ในอดีตนั้นเป็นพื้นที่ศักดิ์สิทธิ์ที่คนในชุมชนต่างให้ความเคารพเลื่อมใสพระพุทธรูปหลวงพ่อพระยืนมาตลอดจนถึงปัจจุบัน จนทำให้พื้นที่วัดพุทธมงคลจนกลายเป็นพื้นที่ศักดิ์สิทธิ์ และพื้นที่ความทรงจำของคนใน และคนนอกชุมชนที่มาสักการะหลวงพ่อพระยืนอย่างไม่ขาดสาย โดยมีการสัมภาษณ์ เด็ก เยาวชน ผู้ใหญ่ คนในและนอกชุมชนกับพื้นที่วัดพุทธมงคล ในกระบวนการการสร้างสรรค์ละครชุมชนนั้นมีลำดับขั้นตอนการสร้างสรรค์ คือ การศึกษาข้อมูลชุมชน ผู้มีส่วนร่วม , แลกเปลี่ยนเรียนรู้ ทำความเข้าใจเพื่อการดำเนินงานสร้างสรรค์ละครชุมชน , สร้างเรื่องใหม่โดยยึดประเด็นจากชุมชนเป็นแกนหลักและพัฒนาไปสู่การสร้างสรรค์ละคร , ฝึกซ้อมและพัฒนาผลร่วมกับคนในชุมชน , จัดการแสดงละคร เพื่อสื่อสาร สะท้อนประเด็นปัญหาชุมชน เพื่อผู้ชมในชุมชนได้รับรู้และเข้าใจประเด็นปัญหาและนำไปสู่การเปลี่ยนแปลงในชุมชน
