Nang Talad : Gender in the character of Lakorn- nok and process of becoming a national Artist in dance

Abstract

The character that has played a major role in La Korn Nok performance has performed through messy behaviors, energetic movements, rapidly agility, straightforward, conveying thoughts and expressions by the use of improvisation performing naturally sincere. It derives from a female character who has a courteous manner in accordance with Thai tradition. As mentioned, it is considered as a character of Nang Ta Lad. The research entitled Nang Ta Lad: Gender in the Character of La Korn Nok and the Process to Become a National Artist aims to 1) study the gender through the character of “Nang Mary” in La Korn Nok entitled Rod Tha Sen 2) study the process to become a dance artist and a national artist. 3) study the role of a national artist on nation state and cultural society of Thai. This research is a qualitative research and has been studied by the information from academic documents, interview of experts and qualified persons. The fieldwork data collections were made by surveying, observing and interviewing. The research instruments for data collections were observation forms and interview forms from well-informed persons, practitioners and general informants respectively. This research is presented by descriptive analysis.

The results of research found out that Nang Ta Lad: gender in the character of La Korn Nok and the process to become a national artist has been studied through Rachana Puangprayong. The study was framed by gender concept or gender that has been related to cultural society of Thailand and embodied the intimacy of dance from family and context of cultural society that has been influenced to way of life, socialization and accumulation of experiences as it is considered as factors contribution to make a success of giving the meaning to one of each set characters of the play. It is compulsory to clearly understand until performer can be approached to the character of the play.

In summary, the proficiency in gender of Nang Ta Lad is important and colorful in performance that no-one compares to Nang Ta Lad. In addition, accumulation of experiences and receiving knowledge transfer from the great teacher for a long time has become a knowledge base in the science of performing arts. Therefore, Rachana Puangprayong was appointed to be a national artist of Thailand.

ตัวละครที่มีบทบาทสำคัญในการแสดงละครนอกมีกิริยาไม่สำรวม กระฉับกระเฉง คล่องแคล่ว ว่องไว เปิดเผยตรงไปตรงมา ถ่ายทอดความรู้สึกนึกคิด และอารมณ์ โดย ใช้ปฏิภาณไหวพริบ ได้อย่างธรรมชาติ ซึ่งมาจากตัวละครหญิง ที่มีกิริยาเรียบร้อย สุภาพ ตามขนบธรรมเนียมของไทยนั้น คือบุคลิกลักษณะของนางตลาดการวิจัยเรื่อง นางตลาด : เพศสภาพในตัวละครนอกและกระบวนการกลายเป็นศิลปินแห่งชาติ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) ศึกษาเพศสภาพผ่านตัวละคร กรณี “นางเมรี”ในตัวละครนอกเรื่องรถเสน 2) ศึกษากระบวนการกลายเป็นนาฏศิลปินและศิลปินแห่งชาติ 3) ศึกษาบทบาทศิลปินแห่งชาติต่อความเป็นชาติและสังคมวัฒนธรรมไทย การวิจัยครั้งนี้ เป็นการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ(Qualitative Research) โดยการศึกษาข้อมูลจากเอกสารทางวิชาการ การสัมภาษณ์ผู้เชี่ยวชาญ ผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิ เก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลภาคสนาม โดยการสำรวจ สังเกต และการสัมภาษณ์ เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลได้แก่ แบบสังเกต และแบบสัมภาษณ์ จากกลุ่มผู้รู้ กลุ่มผู้ปฏิบัติ บุคคลทั่วไป แล้วนำเสนอผลการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล โดยวิธีพรรณนาวิเคราะห์

ผลการวิจัยพบว่า นางตลาด : เพศสภาพในตัวละครนอกและกระบวนการกลายเป็นศิลปินแห่งชาติ ศึกษาผ่าน ครูรัจนา พวงประยงค์ โดยใช้แนวคิดเพศสภาพ หรือความเป็นเพศที่สัมพันธ์กับสังคมวัฒนธรรมไทย ที่หล่อหลอมความเป็นนาฏศิลป์ มาจากครอบครัว และบริบททางสังคมวัฒนธรรมที่มีผลต่อการดำเนินชีวิต กระบวนการขัดเกลา บ่มเพาะ และการสั่งสมประสบการณ์ เป็นปัจจัยเกื้อหนุนที่ทำให้ประสบความสำเร็จ จากการสร้างความหมายในตัวละครตัวใดตัวหนึ่ง ต้องผ่านการศึกษาและเข้าใจอย่างชัดเจน จึงจะสามารถเข้าถึงตัวละครได้อย่างลึกซึ้ง

โดยสรุปความจัดเจน เชี่ยวชาญในเพศสภาพของนางตลาดที่มีความสำคัญและเป็นสีสันของการแสดง ที่ไม่มีใครเทียบได้ อีกทั้ง การสั่งสมประสบการณ์และการได้รับการถ่ายทอดกิริยาจากบรมครูอย่างยาวนาน จนกลายเป็นคลังความรู้ ในศาสตร์ทางด้านศิลปะการแสดง จึงได้รับการยกย่องเชิดชูเกียรติให้เป็นศิลปินแห่งชาติไทย
