The Creation and Development for school band ' s Wind Instruments maintenance and repairing handbook in the Northeast of Thailand

Abstract

This dissertation proposes the creation and development of a manual for the maintenance of musical instruments of student’s bands in secondary schools in Northeast Thailand. There are four objectives in this study, which are 1) to study the current conditions of the musical instruments in the student bands; 2) to study the methods of maintenance and care of the musical instruments in the student bands; 3) to study the maintenance process of the musical instruments in the student bands; and 4) to create and develop a manual for the maintenance of musical instruments in the student bands. The study employs the qualitative and descriptive research methods in collecting data through surveys, interviews, observations and group conversations. The sample from 5 secondary schools is made up of 3 groups consisting of 5 administrators, 5 teachers and 50 students who play various types of instruments in the school bands.

The results of the research are the following. 1) The condition of musical instruments in the school band from the sample of four schools were quite damaged and old due to the lack of attention and care by the students. However, some of the musical instruments in these school bands are in a relatively good condition. 2) This study surveyed the maintenance for both woodwind and brass instruments from the four school sample groups, but the process of care and maintenance was incorrect due to the lack of maintenance procedures before use. In another school, there was a system to maintain the instruments properly. 3) There is a lack of musical instrument maintenance procedures in the four sample groups. In one school, however, there are technicians who inspect and maintain the equipment on a regular basis. 4) This study has proposed a guide in the maintenance and care musical instruments in the secondary school bands that can be tested by experts and can then be used.

การวิจัย เรื่อง การสร้างและพัฒนาคู่มือดูแลบำรุงรักษาเครื่องดนตรีวงดุริยางค์เครื่องเป่านักเรียนสำหรับโรงเรียนมัธยมศึกษาในภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือ มีวัตถุประสงค์ 4 ข้อ ได้แก่ 1) เพื่อศึกษาสภาพของเครื่องดนตรีในวงดุริยางค์นักเรียน 2) เพื่อศึกษาวิธีการดูแลเครื่องดนตรีในวงดุริยางค์นักเรียน 3) เพื่อศึกษากระบวนการบำรุงรักษาเครื่องดนตรีในวงดุริยางค์นักเรียน และ 4) เพื่อสร้างและพัฒนาคู่มือวิธีการดูแลบำรุงรักษาเครื่องดนตรีในวงดุริยางค์นักเรียน ใช้ระเบียบวิธีวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ เก็บข้อมูล จากการสำรวจ การสัมภาษณ์ การสังเกต และการสนทนากลุ่ม จากกลุ่มตัวอย่างโรงเรียนมัธยมศึกษาในภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือจำนวน 5 โรงเรียน แบบเจาะจง ผู้ให้ข้อมูลมี 3 กลุ่ม ประกอบด้วยกลุ่มผู้บริหาร 5 คน กลุ่มครูผู้สอน 5 คน และกลุ่มนักเรียนที่ปฏิบัติเครื่องดนตรีที่เป็นหัวหน้าเครื่องมือประเภทต่างๆ จำนวน 50 คน แล้วนำเสนอผลการวิจัยโดยใช้วิธีการพรรณนาวิเคราะห์

ผลการวิจัยพบว่า 1) สภาพเครื่องดนตรีในวงดุริยางค์จากกลุ่มตัวอย่าง 4 โรงเรียน เครื่องดนตรีมีสภาพค่อนข้างชำรุด เก่า และปานกลาง สืบเนื่องจากพฤติกรรมของนักเรียนในการปฏิบัติต่อเครื่องขาดความเอาใจใส่ ไม่ถนอมเครื่อง ส่วนอีก 1 โรงเรียน เครื่องดนตรีมีสภาพปานกลางค่อนข้างใหม่ เนื่องจากพฤติกรรมในการปฏิบัติต่อเครื่องของนักเรียนมีการเอาใจใส่ และถนอมเครื่อง 2) พบว่ามีการดูแลรักษาเครื่องดนตรีทั้งเครื่องลมไม้ และเครื่องทองเหลือง จากกลุ่มตัวอย่าง 4 โรงเรียน แต่การปฏิบัติไม่ถูกวิธี ไม่มีการตรวจสอบสภาพความสมบูรณ์ของเครื่องก่อนใช้งาน ส่วนอีก 1 โรงเรียน วิธีการดูแลเครื่องอย่างถูกวิธี 3) กระบวนการบำรุงรักษาเครื่องดนตรีของกลุ่มตัวอย่าง 4 โรงเรียน มีน้อยมากและไม่ถูกต้องตามกระบวนการ ส่วนอีก 1 โรงเรียน มีช่างเข้าตรวจสอบ และดูแลเครื่องให้เป็นประจำ 4) ได้สร้างคู่มือวิธีการดูแลรักษาเครื่องดนตรีในวงดุริยางค์ ผ่านการทดสอบจากผู้เชี่ยวชาญสามารถนำไปใช้ได้
