Development of Scientific Concept of Eighth Grade Students Using The Evaluate Alternative Model

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to improve scientific concepts of eighth-grade students by the evaluate alternative model, in order to achieve complete understanding levels. The target group was 29 eighth grade students in the second semester of the academic year 2019. Action research was conducted in this research which was 5 cycles. The research instruments were: 1) 10 lesson plans of the evaluate alternative model, 2) the multiple-choice test with rational explanations, 3) the semi-structured interview, and 4) the observation form. The research showed that students had scientific concepts on complete understanding levels on all items of each cycle. When considering each cycle, it was found as follows:

การวิจัยครั้งนี้ มีจุดมุ่งหมายเพื่อพัฒนามโนทัศน์ทางวิทยาศาสตร์ของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 2 โดยวิธีการจัดการเรียนรู้ตามรูปแบบการประเมินทางเลือก ให้อยู่ในระดับมโนทัศน์ที่สมบูรณ์กลุ่มเป้าหมายคือนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 2 จำนวน 29 คน ภาคเรียนที่ 2 ปีการศึกษา 2562 ดำเนินการวิจัยเชิงปฏิบัติการ 5 วงจรปฏิบัติการ เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยประกอบด้วย แผนการจัดการเรียนรู้ตามรูปแบบการประเมินทางเลือกเรื่องโลกและการเปลี่ยนแปลง จำนวน 10 แผนการเรียนรู้ เวลา 15 ชั่วโมง แบบทดสอบมโนทัศน์ทางวิทยาศาสตร์ แบบสัมภาษณ์นักเรียนแบบกึ่งโครงสร้างและแบบสังเกตพฤติกรรมของนักเรียน

ผลการวิจัยพบว่านักเรียนมีระดับมโนทัศน์ทางวิทยาศาสตร์ผ่านเกณฑ์คือ มีความเข้าใจมโนทัศน์ที่สมบูรณ์ (CU) ทุกข้อ ในแต่ละวงจรปฏิบัติการมีจำนวนนักเรียนที่ผ่านเกณฑ์เพิ่มขึ้นในวงจรปฏิบัติการที่ 1, 2, 3, 4, และ 5 เป็นร้อยละ 13.79, 27.59, 34.48, และ 41.38 ตามลำดับ
