The Development of Program to Enhance Teacher’s Scientific Inquiry Teaching Competency under the Secondary Education Service Area Office 26

Abstract

The study aimed : 1) to study the current and desirable states and the need of teachers’ scientific inquiry teaching, from the Secondary Education Service Area Office 26; 2) to develop a program for enhancing teachers’ competency of scientific inquiry teaching, from the Secondary Education Service Area Office 26. The samples were 193 teachers, who were teaching Science (General Science, Physics, Chemistry, or Biology) in Mathayom 1 to 6, from 35 schools under the Secondary Education Service Area Office 26. They were selected by Stratified Random Sampling. The study instruments were questionnaires, interview forms, and program assessment forms. The statistics for data analysis were percentage, mean, and standard deviation.

The result showed that:

1. The current state of teachers’ scientific inquiry teaching in the schools under the Secondary Education Service Area Office 26 was at a high level and The desirable state of teachers’ scientific inquiry teaching in the schools under the Secondary Education Service Area Office 26 was at the highest level.

2. The program for enhancing teachers’ competency of scientific inquiry teaching, from the Secondary Education Service Area Office 26, consisted of: 1) rational criterion; 2) objective; 3) content; 4) approach of development; 5) learning material; 6) evaluation and assessment. The program propriety, feasibility, and utility were all at the high level. The program accuracy was at the highest level.

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีความมุ่งหมาย 1) เพื่อศึกษาสภาพปัจจุบัน สภาพที่พึงประสงค์ และความต้องการจำเป็น ของการจัดการเรียนรู้ของครูโดยใช้กระบวนการสืบเสาะทางวิทยาศาสตร์ สังกัดสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษามัธยมศึกษา เขต 26 2) เพื่อพัฒนาโปรแกรมเสริมสร้างสมรรถนะการจัดการเรียนรู้ของครู โดยใช้กระบวนการสืบเสาะทางวิทยาศาสตร์ สังกัดสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษามัธยมศึกษา เขต 26 กลุ่มตัวอย่าง ได้แก่ ครูผู้สอนวิทยาศาสตร์ กลุ่มสาระการเรียนรู้วิทยาศาสตร์ (วิทยาศาสตร์ทั่วไป ฟิสิกส์ เคมี ชีววิทยา) ระดับชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 1-6 จำนวน 193 คน จาก 35 โรงเรียนในสังกัดสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษามัธยมศึกษา เขต 26 โดยวิธีการสุ่มแบบแบ่งชั้นภูมิ เครื่องมือประกอบด้วยแบบสอบถาม แบบสัมภาษณ์ และแบบประเมินโปรแกรม วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้โปรแกรมสำเร็จรูป สถิติที่ใช้ได้แก่ ค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย และค่าส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน

ผลการวิจัยพบว่า

1. สภาพปัจจุบันของการจัดการเรียนรู้โดยใช้กระบวนการสืบเสาะทางวิทยาศาสตร์ของครู สังกัดสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษามัธยมศึกษา เขต 26 โดยรวมอยู่ในระดับมาก ส่วนสภาพที่พึงประสงค์ของการจัดการเรียนรู้โดยใช้กระบวนการสืบเสาะทางวิทยาศาสตร์ของครู สังกัดสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษามัธยมศึกษา เขต 26 โดยรวมอยู่ในระดับมากที่สุด

2. โปรแกรมเสริมสร้างสมรรถนะการจัดการเรียนรู้ของครูโดยใช้กระบวนการสืบเสาะทางวิทยาศาสตร์ สังกัดสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษามัธยมศึกษา เขต 26 ประกอบด้วย 1) หลักการเเละเหตุผล 2) วัตถุประสงค์ 3) เนื้อหาและสาระสำคัญ 4) รูปแบบและวิธีการพัฒนา 5) สื่อ/เเหล่งเรียนรู้ และ 6) การวัดและประเมินผลโปรแกรม ผลการประเมินความเหมาะสมอยู่ในระดับมาก ความเป็นไปได้อยู่ในระดับมาก ความถูกต้องอยู่ในระดับมากที่สุด และความเป็นประโยชน์ของโปรแกรมอยู่ในระดับมาก
