The Development of English Reading for Main Idea Skill by Cooperative Learning with CIRC Technique of Vocational Certificate in Accouting 2 students

Abstract

The purposes of this research were: (1) to construct the reading for main idea skill lesson plans based on the CIRC technique for vocational certificate in accouting two students. It aimed to find the efficiency of the reading for main idea activities according to standard criterion 75/75. (2) compare the achievement of students ability in English reading for main idea skill and (3) study the student’s satisfaction towards CIRC technique on reading main idea activities. The samples used in this research were 34 students from vocational certificate in accouting two students, in the frist semester of the 2021 academic year in Khonkaen Industrial and Community Education College. They were selected by using purposive sampling. The instruments used in this research were six lesson plans, English reading for main idea achievement test, and the student’s satisfaction questionnaire towards the Cooperative Intergrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) techque. Satatistics used in data analysis are average, mean, standard deviation values, t-test.

The results of the study are as follows:

1. The plans of English reading for main idea skill by cooperative learning activities with CIRC technique had the efficiency value of 78.87/78.43 which was higher than the 75/75 standard criterion.

2. The achievement of the reading for main idea of the students that were taught by using cooperative learning with CIRC technique of vocational certificate in accouting showed that the post-learning was more valuable than the pre-learning in the significant statistics different at .05 levels.

3. The student’s satisfaction towards the instruction based on the cooperative learning activities using CIRC technique also indicated that students were satisfied with the cooperative learning activities using CIRC technique at a very high level.

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ 1) เพื่อพัฒนาการอ่านจับใจความภาษาอังกฤษ โดยการจัดการเรียนรู้แบบร่วมมือเทคนิค CIRC ให้มีประสิทธิภาพตามเกณฑ์ 75/75 2) เพื่อศึกษาดัชนีประสิทธิผลการเรียนรู้การอ่านจับใจความภาษาอังกฤษของนักเรียน ก่อนและหลังได้รับการเรียนรู้ และ 3) เพื่อศึกษาความพึงพอใจของนักเรียนต่อการจัดการเรียนรู้แบบร่วมมือเทคนิค CIRC กลุ่มตัวอย่างคือ นักเรียนสาขาการบัญชี ระดับประกาศนียบัตรวิชาชีพชั้นปีที่ 2 วิทยาลัยการอาชีพขอนแก่น ที่กำลังศึกษาในภาคเรียนที่ 1 ปีการศึกษา 2564 จำนวน 34 คน ซึ่งได้มาโดยการเลือกแบบเจาะจง เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการดำเนินการวิจัยมี 3 ชนิด ได้แก่ แผนการจัดการเรียนรู้การอ่านจับใจความภาษาอังกฤษ โดยการจัดการเรียนรู้แบบร่วมมือเทคนิค CIRC จำนวน 6 แผน แผนละ 3 ชั่วโมง รวมใช้เวลาทั้งหมด 18 ชั่วโมง แบบวัดความสามารถด้านการอ่านจับใจความภาษาอังกฤษ และแบบสอบถามความพึงพอใจของนักเรียนที่มีต่อการจัดการเรียนรู้แบบร่วมมือเทคนิค CIRC การวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลใช้สถิติพื้นฐาน ค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตราฐานและทดสอบสมมติฐานด้วยสถิติ t-test (Dependent Sample)

ผลการวิจัยปรากฏ ดังนี้

1. การจัดกิจกรรมการอ่านจับใจความภาษาอังกฤษ โดยการจัดการเรียนรู้แบบร่วมมือเทคนิค CIRC มีประสิทธิภาพเท่ากับ 78.87/78.43 ซึ่งสูงกว่าเกณฑ์ 75/75 ที่กำหนดไว้

2. ดัชนีประสิทธิผลของนักเรียนสาขาการบัญชี ที่ได้รับการจัดการเรียนรู้แบบร่วมมือเทคนิค CIRCหลังเรียนสูงกว่าก่อนเรียนอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05

3. ความพึงพอใจของนักเรียนที่ได้รับจากการจัดการเรียนรู้การอ่านจับใจความภาษาอังกฤษ โดยการจัดการเรียนรู้แบบร่วมมือเทคนิค CIRC โดยรวมมีความพึงพอใจอยู่ในระดับมาก
