The Study of KWL-Plus Learning Activities on Analytical Reading Ability of the Prathomsuksa 6 Students

Abstract

This study aimed 1) to study of KWL-Plus learning activity on analytical reading ability of the Prathomsuksa 6 students in order to achieve the criteria 75/75 of effectiveness, 2) to develop analytical reading ability for the Prathomsuksa 6 students after using KWL–Plus learning activity with the criteria 75 of percentage for learning achievement and 3) to study satisfaction of Prathomsuksa 6 students after using KWL–Plus learning activity. The participants of the study consisted of 13 Prathomsuksa 6 students in Chumchon Banmuanghong School, Muang Hong, Chaturaphakphiman, Roi-Et, Thailand. They were studying in the 1st semester of academic year 2021. The instruments used in the study comprised of 1) five lesson plans of Thai subject using KWL–Plus learning activity on analytical reading ability development for Prathomsuksa 6 students. The lesson plans were two-hour lesson plan. 2) 30 items of analytical reading ability tests with 4 multiple choices., 3) 15-item students’ satisfaction questionnaire towards KWL-Plus learning activity for Prathomsuksa 6 students. The statistics used in the study were percentage, mean, and standard deviation.

The results of the study revealed that:

1. The effectiveness of lesson plans using KWL–Plus learning activity to enhance analytical reading ability for Prathomsuksa 6 students pointed out that there was 78.13/76.92 of the effectiveness which higher than the criteria of 75/75.

2. The result of Prathomsuksa 6 students’ analytical reading ability after using KWL–Plus learning activity was 76.92 which higher than the criteria. It showed that students’ analytical reading ability was improved by KWL-Plus learning activity.

3. The Prathomsuksa 6 students satisfied with learning by using KWL-Plus learning activity rated in the most level (x̅ = 4.49, S.D. = 0.44).

การวิจัยในครั้งนี้มีความมุ่งหมายเพื่อ 1) ศึกษาการจัดการเรียนรู้แบบ KWL-Plus ที่มีต่อความสามารถด้านการอ่านเชิงวิเคราะห์ของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 ให้มีประสิทธิภาพตามเกณฑ์ 75/75 2) พัฒนาความสามารถด้านการอ่านเชิงวิเคราะห์ของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 ที่เรียนด้วยการจัดการเรียนรู้แบบ KWL-Plus ให้ผ่านเกณฑ์ร้อยละ 75 3) ศึกษาความพึงพอใจของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 ที่เรียนด้วยการจัดการเรียนรู้แบบ KWL-Plus กลุ่มเป้าหมายที่ใช้ในการวิจัยครั้งนี้ ได้แก่ นักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 โรงเรียนชุมชนบ้านเมืองหงส์ ตำบลเมืองหงส์ อำเภอจตุรพักตรพิมาน จังหวัดร้อยเอ็ด ภาคเรียนที่ 1 ปีการศึกษา 2564 จำนวน 13 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยครั้งนี้ ได้แก่ 1) แผนการจัดการเรียนรู้วิชาภาษาไทย ชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 ที่ใช้กระบวนการจัดการเรียนรู้แบบ KWL-Plus เพื่อพัฒนาความสามารถด้านการอ่านเชิงวิเคราะห์ จำนวน 5 แผน แผนละ 2 ชั่วโมง รวม 10 ชั่วโมง 2) แบบทดสอบวัดความสามารถด้านการอ่านเชิงวิเคราะห์ ของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 แบบชนิดเลือกตอบ (Multiple Choice) 4 ตัวเลือก จำนวน 30 ข้อ 3) แบบสอบถามความพึงพอใจต่อการจัดการเรียนรู้แบบ KWL-Plus ของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 แบบมาตราส่วนประมาณค่า (Rating Scale) 5 ระดับ จำนวน 15 ข้อ สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล ได้แก่ ร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย และส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน

ผลการวิจัยพบว่า

1. แผนการจัดการเรียนรู้ด้านการอ่านเชิงวิเคราะห์ของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 ด้วยการจัดการเรียนรู้แบบ KWL-Plus มีประสิทธิภาพ 78.13/76.92 ซึ่งสูงกว่าเกณฑ์ที่กำหนดไว้ คือ 75/75

2. ความสามารถด้านการอ่านเชิงวิเคราะห์ของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 ที่เรียนด้วยการจัดการเรียนรู้แบบ KWL-Plus หลังเรียนเทียบกับเกณฑ์ร้อยละ 75 พบว่า สูงกว่าเกณฑ์ คือมีค่าคะแนนเฉลี่ยเท่ากับ ร้อยละ 76.92 หมายความว่า การจัดการเรียนรู้แบบ KWL-Plus ส่งผลให้ความสามารถด้านการอ่านเชิงวิเคราะห์ของนักเรียนสูงขึ้นและเป็นไปตามเกณฑ์ร้อยละ 75

3. นักเรียนมีความพึงพอใจต่อการพัฒนาความสามารถด้านการอ่านเชิงวิเคราะห์ของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 ที่เรียนด้วยการจัดการเรียนรู้แบบ KWL-Plus อยู่ในระดับมาก (x̅ = 4.49, S.D. = 0.44)
