The Institutional Repository Developing on I-san Architecture Faculty of Architecture Urban Design and Creative Arts, Mahasarakham University

Abstract

The research aims were 1) to study the needs of the I-san Architecture institutional repository, Faculty of Architecture, Urban Design and Creative Arts, Mahasarakham University, 2) to analyzing and classifying knowledge content of I-san Architecture, 3) to develop an institutional repository of I-san Architecture, Faculty of Architecture, Urban Design and Creative Arts, Mahasarakham University. Research tools were 1) Institutional repository needs questionnaire used to collected data from the sample group of 40 lecturers and 275 undergraduate students, 2) semi-structured interview about the content scope of I-san architecture, data record form, and assessment form for I-san Architecture knowledge content classification used to collected data from 3 lecturers, 243 pieces of I-san architecture student works, and 5 experts, 3) assessment form for an institutional repository of I-san Architecture used to collect data from 5 experts. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results of the research revealed that:

1. The needs of the I-san Architecture institutional repository regarding to the collection, it was found that most of lectures and students need to store their work in image file formats (such as .gif, .jpg, .png) by defining the right to access for the university community can access the full-text and they want to show ownership on the work by creating a digital watermark that can be seen. In terms of content, it was found that overall, the need for Isan architecture content to be stored in the institutional repository is at a high level. When ordering demand from average to lowest, they are: religious places, residential, local beliefs and working areas / professional activities / public areas. In terms of usage, it was found that lectures and students preferred to access to the institutional repository via personal computers (PC, Notebook) and to use the institutional repository from the Faculty's website.

2. I-san architecture knowledge content classifying by using the knowledge classification approach concept can be analyzed and classified into 5 classes including: 1) Religious Architecture 2) Residential Architecture 3) Local Faith Architecture 4) Occupational Activity Architecture 5) Office Architecture/Public Spaces, divided into 17 sub-classes and 19 divisions.

3. I-san Architecture institutional repository, Faculty of Architecture, Urban Design and Creative Arts, Mahasarakham developed by Dspace is an open source program. The usage of the institutional repository can be divided into 2 parts: 1) the part of the administrator 2) the part of the user. The results of the appropriateness assessment from the experts found that the institutional repository was appropriate in all aspects at the highest level.

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ 1) เพื่อศึกษาความต้องการคลังความรู้สถาบันด้านสถาปัตยกรรมอีสาน คณะสถาปัตยกรรมศาสตร์ ผังเมืองและนฤมิตศิลป์ มหาวิทยาลัยมหาสารคาม 2) เพื่อวิเคราะห์และจัดหมวดหมู่ความรู้ด้านสถาปัตยกรรมอีสาน 3) เพื่อพัฒนาคลังความรู้สถาบันด้านสถาปัตยกรรมอีสาน คณะสถาปัตยกรรมศาสตร์ผังเมือง และนฤมิตศิลป์ มหาวิทยาลัยมหาสารคาม เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย คือ 1) แบบสอบถามความต้องการคลังความรู้สถาบัน รวบรวมข้อมูลจากกลุ่มตัวอย่าง คือ อาจารย์ จำนวน 40 คน และนิสิตระดับปริญญาตรี จำนวน 275 คน 2) การสัมภาษณ์เกี่ยวกับขอบเขตเนื้อหาด้านสถาปัตยกรรมอีสาน แบบบันทึกข้อมูล และแบบประเมินความเหมาะสมหมวดหมู่เนื้อหาด้านสถาปัตยกรรมอีสาน รวบรวมข้อมูลจาก อาจารย์ จำนวน 3 คน ผลงานด้านสถาปัตยกรรมอีสานของนิสิตจำนวน 243 ชิ้น และผู้เชี่ยวชาญ จำนวน 5 คน 3) แบบประเมินความเหมาะสมคลังความรู้สถาบันด้านสถาปัตยกรรมอีสาน รวบรวมข้อมูลจากผู้เชี่ยวชาญ จำนวน 5 คน วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้สถิติเชิงพรรณนา ผลการวิจัย พบว่า

1. ความต้องการคลังความรู้สถาบันด้านสถาปัตยกรรมอีสาน ด้านการจัดเก็บผลงาน พบว่า อาจารย์และนิสิตส่วนมากมีความต้องการด้านจัดเก็บผลงานในรูปแบบไฟล์รูปภาพ (เช่น .gif, .jpg, .png) โดยกำหนดสิทธิในการเข้าถึงประชาคมมหาวิทยาลัยสามารถเข้าถึงเอกสารฉบับเต็ม และต้องการแสดงกรรมสิทธิ์บนผลงานโดยสร้างลายน้ำดิจิทัลที่สามารถมองเห็นด้วยตาเปล่า ด้านเนื้อหา พบว่า มีความต้องการเนื้อหาด้านสถาปัตยกรรมอีสานเพื่อจัดเก็บในคลังความรู้สถาบันโดยรวมอยู่ในระดับมาก เรียงลำดับความต้องการจากค่าเฉลี่ยมากไปหาน้อยได้แก่ ด้านศาสนสถาน ด้านที่พักอาศัย ด้านความเชื่อท้องถิ่น และด้านที่ทำการ/กิจกรรมอาชีพ/พื้นที่สาธารณะ ด้านการใช้งาน พบว่า อาจารย์และนิสิตต้องการการเข้าถึงคลังความรู้สถาบันผ่านช่องทางคอมพิวเตอร์ส่วนบุคคล (PC, Notebook) และใช้คลังความรู้สถาบันจากเว็บไซต์ของคณะฯ

2. การจัดหมวดหมู่ความรู้ด้านสถาปัตยกรรมอีสาน โดยใช้แนวคิดการจัดระบบหมวดหมู่ความรู้ (Knowledge Classification approach) สามารถวิเคราะห์และจัดหมวดหมู่ได้ 5 หมวด ประกอบด้วย 1) หมวดสถาปัตยกรรมศาสนสถาน 2) สถาปัตยกรรมที่พักอาศัย 3) หมวดสถาปัตยกรรมความเชื่อท้องถิ่น 4) สถาปัตยกรรมกิจกรรมประกอบอาชีพ 5) หมวดสถาปัตยกรรมที่ทำการ/พื้นที่สาธารณะ โดยแบ่งออกเป็น17 หมวดย่อย และ 19 หมู่ย่อย

3. คลังความรู้สถาบันด้านสถาปัตยกรรมอีสาน คณะสถาปัตยกรรมศาสตร์ ผังเมืองและนฤมิตศิลป์ พัฒนาด้วยโปรแกรมดีสเปซ (DSpace) ซึ่งเป็นโปรแกรมโอเพ่นซอส การใช้งานแบ่งเป็น 2 ส่วน ได้แก่ 1) ส่วนของผู้ดูแลระบบ 2) ส่วนของผู้ใช้ ผลการประเมินความเหมาะสมของคลังความรู้สถาบันจากผู้เชี่ยวชาญ พบว่า คลังความรู้สถาบันมีความเหมาะสมรวมทุกด้านอยู่ในระดับมากที่สุด
