Enhancing Mattayomsuksa 3 Students' English Narrative Writing Ability Through The Use Of Jigsaw Technique

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to compare the ability of Narrative Writing of grade 9th students before and after study by using Jigsaw Technique and to study the attitude of grade 9th student towards Jigsaw Technique in order to improving English Narrative Writing Ability. The data was recorded by using the target group from the grade 9th students of Pupplawittayakom School, Chiang Kwan District,Roi-Et Province. They were selected by purposive sampling and consisted of 32 students in class taking Eng 20205 Reading – Writing English in the first semester of 2017 academic year. It was experimental design research with One Group Pretest – Posttest Design. The instrumentals used in this research were 1) English writing Test 2) English writing ability assessment form 3) teacher note 4) student’s attitude questionnaire 5) students’ attitude questionnaire . The data were analyzed by mean, percentage , standard deviation and t-test dependent Sample. The results of the research were as follows: 1. The ability of Narrative Writing through Jigsaw Technique after learning by using Jigsaw Technique was significantly higher than before learning at the level 0.05 2. The student learning attitude through Jigsaw Techniques were at the good level ( = 4.26 ) In brief, The Jigsaw Technique was suitable method to develop the ability of Narrative Writing for grade 9th student. Not only the ability of writing was increased but also the attitude level towards Jigsaw Technique .Thus, this method could achieve academic goal and attitude towards English writing class.

การวิจัยนี้มีความมุ่งหมายเพื่อเปรียบเทียบความสามารถในการเขียนบรรยายเรื่องเล่าภาษาอังกฤษของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 3 ก่อนเเละหลังการได้รับการเรียนรู้ด้วยเทคนิคการต่อภาพและเพื่อศึกษาเจตคติของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 3 ก่อนและหลังการได้รับการเรียนรู้ด้วยเทคนิคการต่อภาพและเพื่อศึกษาเจตคติของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 3 ต่อการใช้การเรียนรู้ด้วยเทคนิคการต่อภาพในการพัฒนาความสามารถการเขียนบรรยายเรื่องเล่าภาษาอังกฤษ เก็บข้อมูลโดยใช้กลุ่มเป้าหมาย คือ นักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 3 โรงเรียนพลับพลาวิทยาคม อำเภอเชียงขวัญ จังหวัดร้อยเอ็ด จำนวน 32 คน ได้มาโดยการเลือกแบบเจาะจง ซึ่งเรียนวิชาภาษาอังกฤษเพิ่มเติม (อ.20205) ภาคเรียนที่ 1 ปีการศึกษา 2560 เป็นการวิจัยเชิงทดลอง เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยคือ 1) แบบทดสอบการเขียนก่อนเเละหลังการใช้กิจกรรม 2) เกณฑ์การประเมินด้านการเขียน 3) แบบบันทึกผลการจัดกิจกรรมการสอนของครู 4) แบบสอบถามเจตคติ 5) แบบสัมภาษณ์กึ่งโครงสร้าง สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลคือ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน ค่า t-test แบบ Dependent Sample ผลการวิจัย พบว่า 1. ความสามารถด้านการเขียนบรรยายเรื่องเล่าภาษาอังกฤษโดยใช้เทคนิคการต่อภาพหลังการทดลองสูงกว่าก่อนการทดลอง อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 2. ผู้เรียนมีเจตคติต่อการจัดการเรียนรู้โดยการใช้เทคนิคการต่อภาพ ในระดับ ดี โดยมีค่าคะแนนเฉลี่ยเท่ากับ 4.26 โดยสรุป การจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้โดยใช้เทคนิคการต่อภาพเพื่อพัฒนาความสามารถด้านการเขียนบรรยายเรื่องเล่าภาษาอังกฤษของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 3 มีความเหมาะสม นักเรียนมีความสามารถด้านการเขียนบรรยายเรื่องเล่าภาษาอังกฤษดีขึ้นและมีเจตคติต่อการเรียนโดยใช้เทคนิคการต่อภาพในระดับดี ดังนั้น การจัดการเรียนการสอนโดยวิธีนี้สามารถช่วยให้นักเรียนมีความก้าวหน้าในการเรียนรู้และมีเจตคติที่ดีต่อการเรียนวิชาภาษาอังกฤษในชั้นเรียน
