The RituaL Dynamic of Chrine of The City PiLLar in Mahasarakham

Abstract

The purpose of Thesis is to study the dynamics of the city pillar shrine ceremony in the Mahasarakham Province. Using data from observations and interview the group of key Informant 61 samples were selected for descriptive analysis. The research found that

The City Pillar shrine is constantly evolving from a local folklore blended with the central concepts. The City Shrine has been built and the physical changes have been ongoing until now. The city hall of Maha Sarakham Province is divided into 4 periods. 1) The City Pillar Shrine, along with the Maha Sarakham Town. The Architectural Aspect is not evidences clearly. 2) The Age of restoration. There are government agencies involved in the design, the combination of local architecture and the third generation is the era of government agencies, politicians, merchants to participate more. วิทยานิพนธ์นี้ มีจุดมุ่งประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาพลวัตบุญพิธีเกี่ยวกับศาลหลักเมืองมหาสารคาม โดยใช้ข้อมูลจากสังเกต และสัมภาษณ์กลุ่มตัวอย่าง จำนวน 61 คน นำเสนอในเชิงพรรณนาวิเคราะห์ ผลการวิจัยพบว่า

ศาลหลักเมืองมีพัฒนาการอย่างต่อเนื่องมาจากคติท้องถิ่นผสมผสานกับคติส่วนกลาง ทำให้มีการสร้างศาลหลักเมืองและมีการปรับเปลี่ยนเชิงกายภาพมาอย่างต่อเนื่องจนปัจจุบัน ศาลหลักเมืองจังหวัดมหาสารคามผ่านการเปลี่ยนแปลง แบ่งออกเป็น 4 ยุค กล่าวคือ ยุคที่ 1 เริ่มสร้างศาลหลักเมืองพร้อมกับการตั้งเมืองมหาสารคาม ไม่ปรากฏรูปลักษณ์ทางสถาปัตยกรรมชัดเจน ยุคที่ 2 เป็นยุคบูรณปฏิสังขรณ์ โดยมีหน่วยงานทางราชการเข้ามามีส่วนในการออกแบบมีลักษณะผสมผสานระหว่างสถาปัตยกรรมท้องถิ่นกับส่วนกลาง ยุคที่ 3 เป็นยุคที่หน่วยงานราชการ นักการเมือง พ่อค้าเข้ามามีส่วนร่วมมากขึ้น ทำให้มีอาคารเพิ่มมากขึ้นนอกจากตัวอาคารเสาหลักเมือง พอถึงยุคที่ 4 มีการปรับปรุงอาคารและปรับภูมิทัศน์บริเวณโดยรอบให้เหมาะแก่การประกอบพิธีซึ่งมีคนจำนวนมากเข้ามามีส่วนร่วม

ส่วนพลวัตบุญพิธีเกี่ยวกับศาลหลักเมือง มีการเปลี่ยนแปลง 5 ด้าน คือ 1) สถานที่ทำพิธีบวงสรวง ถูกขยายพื้นที่และสร้างอาคารเพิ่มขึ้นเพื่ออำนวยความสะดวกแก่ผู้เข้าร่วมที่เพิ่มจำนวนมากขึ้น 2) ระยะเวลาทำพิธีกรรมโดยใช้เวลามากขึ้นเพราะมีพิธีทางพุทธที่ถูกจัดเข้ามา 3) บุคคลที่เข้าร่วมพิธีมีจำนวนมากขึ้น โดยดึงเอาหน่วยงานราชการ คณะสงฆ์ ชาวบ้าน รวมถึงหน่วยงานการศึกษา 4) เครื่องบวงสรวง เดิมใช้วัตถุที่หาง่ายในท้องถิ่น แต่ปัจจุบัน เริ่มมีวัตถุที่เพิ่มมากขึ้น 5) ขั้นตอนการทำพิธีก็มีการจัดการที่มีพิธีพุทธเข้ามาเกี่ยวข้อง และมีพราหมณ์เป็นผู้มีบทบาทอยู่ แต่ผู้ที่มีบทบาทสำคัญคือหน่วยงานราชการร่วมกับพ่อค้า รวมถึงนักการเมืองทั้งระดับประเทศและท้องถิ่นเข้ามา ส่งผลให้การจัดงานบุญพิธีเกิดการเปลี่ยนแปลงไปจากเดิมเป็นอย่างมาก
