The Improvement of Learning Achievement on Complex Sentence by Using the 5E Learning Cycle with Online Media of Mathayomsuksa 3 Students

Abstract

This research presents the integration between 5E learning cycle and an online media (Google site), that is simply accessible for both learners and instructors, on “Complex Sentence”. The objectives of this research were; 1) To affirm the effectiveness of the lesson plan on “Complex Sentence” for Mathayomsuksa 3 students that should meet a 80/80 criterion; 2) To compare the student’s learning achievement scores before and after learning via 5E learning cycle with an online medium; and 3) To explore student’s satisfaction toward of Achievement on “Complex Sentence” by Using 5E Learning Cycle with online media of Mathayomsuksa 3 Students. The sample group consisted of 35 students from a class of Mathayomsuksa 3/1 during a 2023 academic year in Suwannaphumpittayapaisarn, Roi-Et province. These participants were selected by cluster random sampling; meanwhile, several types of research tools were utilized including a set of 6 lesson plans for 12 hours of the content on “Complex Sentence” , the student’s learning achievement test on “Complex Sentence” with 30 question items and each item had 4 choices and the test reliability was 0.91; and the questionnaire on the student’s satisfaction towards the learning management plan using 5E learning cycle with an online medium. The data analysis was processed with basic statistics and T-test dependent sample.

The research outcome was listed as below.

1. The learning management plan on “Complex Sentence” using 5E learning cycle with an online medium for Mathayomsuksa 3 students was affirmed to be effective with a E1/E2 criterion of 81.14/803.86 which was higher than the standard criterion as mentioned in the research hypothesis.

2. The students learning achievement scores were higher than their pre-test scores with a statistical significance of 0.05.

3. The student’s satisfaction after learning via the learning management plan using 5E learning cycle with an online medium was rated the highest with the mean score of 4.75; this was higher than expected in the research hypothesis.

As a consequence, the integration between 5E learning cycle and an online media (Google site) notably helps student improve their learning achievement on “Complex Sentence” and it is a satisfactory learning model for students as a suitable media that enables them to know how to search for desired information and to build up gain knowledge by themselves. Moreover, this is not only an approach to improve the student’s language skill but also to enhance their personal skill in utilizing the information technology which is important for daily life.

งานวิจัยในครั้งนี้เป็นการบูรณาการระหว่างวัฏจักรการเรียนรู้ 5E กับสื่อออนไลน์ Google site ที่ผู้เรียนและผู้สอนสามารถเข้าถึงได้ง่าย โดยใช้เนื้อหาเรื่องประโยคซับซ้อนมีความมุ่งหมายในการวิจัย คือ 1) เพื่อหาประสิทธิภาพของแผนการจัดการเรียนรู้ เรื่องประโยคซับซ้อนนักเรียน ชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 3 ให้มีประสิทธิภาพตามเกณฑ์เท่ากับ 80/80 2) เพื่อเปรียบเทียบผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียนระหว่างก่อนกับหลังการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้เรื่องประโยคซับซ้อนโดยใช้วัฏจักรการเรียนรู้ 5E ประกอบสื่อออนไลน์ของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 3 และ 3) เพื่อศึกษาความพึงพอใจของนักเรียนที่มีต่อการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้เรื่องประโยคซับซ้อน โดยใช้วัฏจักรการเรียนรู้ 5E ประกอบสื่อออนไลน์ของนักเรียนขั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 3 มีกลุ่มตัวอย่าง คือ นักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 3/1 โรงเรียนสุวรรณภูมิพิทยไพศาล ปีการศึกษา 2566 จำนวน 35 คน ซึ่งได้มาโดยการจับสลากสุ่มแบบกลุ่ม (cluster random sampling) เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูล ได้แก่ แผนการจัดการเรียนรู้ เรื่องประโยคซับซ้อน โดยใช้วัฏจักรการเรียนรู้ 5E ประกอบสื่อออนไลน์ของนักเรียนชั้น มัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 3 จำนวน 6 แผนการจัดการเรียนรู้ ระยะเวลา 12 ชั่วโมง แบบทดสอบวัดผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียน เรื่องประโยคซับซ้อน แบบปรนัย 4 ตัวเลือก จำนวน 30 ข้อ มีค่าความเชื่อมั่นเท่ากับ 0.91 วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้สถิติพื้นฐานและสถิติทดสอบค่าที (t - test Dependent Samples) และแบบประมินความพึงพอใจของนักเรียนที่มีต่อการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้เรื่องประโยคซับซ้อน โดยใช้วัฏจักรการเรียนรู้ 5E ประกอบสื่อออนไลน์

ผลการวิจัยปรากฏ ดังนี้

1. แผนการจัดการเรียนรู้ เรื่อง ประโยคซับซ้อน โดยใช้วัฏจักรการเรียนรู้ 5E ประกอบสื่อออนไลน์ของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 3 มีประสิทธิภาพ (E1/E2) เท่ากับ 81.14/80.86 สูงกว่าสมมติฐานที่ตั้งไว้

2. ผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียนหลังการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้เรื่องประโยคขับซ้อน โดยใช้วัฏจักรการเรียนรู้ 5E ประกอบสื่อออนไลน์ของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 3 สูงกว่าก่อนเรียนอย่างมีนัยสำคัญที่ 0.05

3. ความพึงพอใจของนักเรียนที่มีต่อการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้เรื่องประโยคซับซ้อน โดยใช้วัฏจักรการเรียนรู้ 5E ประกอบสื่อออนไลน์ของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 3 โดยรวมอยู่ในระดับมากที่สุด ซึ่งมีค่าเฉลี่ยเท่ากับ 4.75 สูงกว่าสมมติฐานที่ตั้งไว้

สรุปผลได้ว่า การบูรณาการระหว่างวัฏจักรการเรียนรู้ 5E กับสื่อออนไลน์ Google site สามารถนำมาพัฒนาผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียนเรื่องประโยคซับซ้อนได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ อีกทั้งยังสร้างความพึงพอใจให้แก่ผู้เรียน เหมาะสำหรับการพัฒนาผู้เรียนให้สืบค้นและสร้างองค์ความรู้ได้ด้วยตนเอง และนอกจากจะเป็นการพัฒนาทักษะทางภาษาแล้ว ยังสามารถพัฒนาทักษะด้านเทคโนโลยีที่จำเป็นต่อการดำรงชีวิตในยุคปัจจุบันอีกด้วย
