The Development of Learning Achievement on Foreign Loanwords in Thai Language using a Project-Based Learning Model and Collaborative Learning with Learning Together for Prathomsuksa 5 Students

Abstract

This research aimed to: 1) examining the effectiveness of the learning management plan on Foreign Loanwords in Thai Language using a project-based learning model and a collaborative learning approach with a Learning Together technique according to a 80/80 standard criterion; 2) comparing the learning achievement of Prathomsuksa 5 students before and after learning via the learning management plan on Foreign Word in Thai Language using a project-based learning model with a Learning Together technique; 3) examining the student’s satisfaction toward the learning management plan using a project-based learning model with a Learning Together technique. The sample group consisted of 26 Prathomsuksa 5 students in Baan Don Daeng Don Doo School, Nathom District, Nakhon Phanom province that were selected by purposive sampling. The research instruments for data collection comprised a 12-hour project-based learning plan with a Learning Together technique on Foreign Loanwords in Thai Language, a learning achievement test 30 question items and each item had 4 choices and the test reliability was 0.90. The collected data was analyzed to define the following basic statistical values including Percentage, Mean, Standard Deviation (S.D.) and T-test Dependent Samples.

The research outcome was found as follows.

1. The learning management plan on Foreign Loanwords in Thai Language using a project-based learning model and a collaborative learning approach with a Learning Together technique was affirmed to be effective with a E1/E2 criterion of 85.37/92.23 which was much higher than a 80/80 standard criterion.

2. The students, after learning Foreign Loanwords in Thai Language using a project-based learning model with a Learning Together technique, gained higher scores from the post-test compared with their pre-test scores with a statistical significance of 0.05.

3. In term of the student’s satisfaction, they were highly satisfied after learning Foreign Loanwords in Thai Language via the project-based model and collaborative learning approach with Learning Together technique.

In conclusion, the project-based learning model and a Learning Together technique was proved to be effective for enhancing the student’s learning achievement on Foreign Loanwords in Thai Language in which they could learn accurately through the procedure and steps of making a project associated with a Learning Together technique. Besides, the students were allowed to search for related information and to develop a knowledge bogy by themselves as it was a part of the project-based learning model with a Learning Together technique.

งานวิจัยในครั้งนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์ คือ 1) เพื่อหาประสิทธิภาพของแผนการจัดการเรียนรู้ เรื่อง คำภาษาต่างประเทศในภาษาไทย โดยใช้รูปแบบการจัดการเรียนรู้โครงงานเป็นฐานร่วมกับการเรียนรู้แบบร่วมมือด้วยเทคนิค Learning Together ให้มีประสิทธิภาพตามเกณฑ์ 80/80 2) เพื่อเปรียบเทียบผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียนระหว่างก่อนและหลังการจัดการเรียนรู้ เรื่อง คำภาษาต่างประเทศในภาษาไทย โดยใช้รูปแบบการจัดการเรียนรู้โครงงานเป็นฐานร่วมกับการเรียนรู้แบบร่วมมือด้วยเทคนิค Learning Together ของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 5 3) เพื่อศึกษาความพึงพอใจของนักเรียนที่มีต่อการจัดการเรียนรู้โดยใช้รูปแบบการจัดการเรียนรู้โครงงานเป็นฐานร่วมกับการเรียนรู้แบบร่วมมือด้วยเทคนิค Learning Together เรื่อง คําภาษาต่างประเทศในภาษาไทย ของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 5 กลุ่มเป้าหมาย ได้แก่ นักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 5 โรงเรียนบ้านดอนแดงดอนดู่ อำเภอนาทม จังหวัดนครพนม จำนวน 26 คน โดยใช้การเลือกแบบเจาะจง เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูล ได้แก่ แผนการจัดการเรียนรู้โครงงานเป็นฐานร่วมกับการเรียนรู้แบบร่วมมือด้วยเทคนิค Learning Together เรื่อง คำภาษาต่างประเทศในภาษาไทย จำนวน 12 ชั่วโมง แบบทดสอบวัดผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียน ชนิดปรนัย 4 ตัวเลือก จำนวน 30 ข้อ มีค่าความเชื่อมั่น 0.90 วิเคราะห์ ข้อมูลโดยใช้สถิติพื้นฐาน ได้แก่ ร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และค่าที (t-test Dependent Samples)

ผลการวิจัยปรากฏ ดังนี้

1. แผนการจัดการเรียนรู้ เรื่อง คำภาษาต่างประเทศในภาษาไทย โดยใช้รูปแบบการจัดการเรียนรู้โครงงานเป็นฐานร่วมกับการเรียนรู้แบบร่วมมือด้วยเทคนิค Learning Together มีประสิทธิภาพ (E1/E2) เท่ากับ 85.37/92.23 ซึ่งสูงกว่าเกณฑ์ 80/80 ที่ตั้งไว้

2. นักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 5 ที่เรียน เรื่อง คำภาษาต่างประเทศในภาษาไทย โดยใช้รูปแบบการจัดการเรียนรู้โครงงานเป็นฐานร่วมกับการเรียนรู้แบบร่วมมือด้วยเทคนิค Learning Together มีคะแนนเฉลี่ยของผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียนหลังเรียนสูงกว่าก่อนเรียนอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05

3. ความพึงพอใจของนักเรียนที่มีต่อการจัดการเรียนรู้โดยใช้รูปแบบการจัดการเรียนรู้โครงงานเป็นฐานร่วมกับการเรียนรู้แบบร่วมมือด้วยเทคนิค Learning Together เรื่อง คําภาษาต่างประเทศในภาษาไทย ของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 5 โดยภาพรวมอยู่ในระดับความพึงพอใจมากที่สุด

สรุปได้ว่า การจัดการเรียนรู้โดยใช้รูปแบบการจัดการเรียนรู้โครงงานเป็นฐานร่วมกับการเรียนรู้แบบร่วมมือด้วยเทคนิค Learning Together สามารถนำมาพัฒนาผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียน เรื่อง คําภาษาต่างประเทศในภาษาไทยได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ นักเรียนได้เรียนรู้ผ่านกระบวนการ และขั้นตอนการเขียนรายงานโครงงานโดยบูรณาการร่วมกับการเรียนรู้แบบร่วมมือด้วยเทคนิค Learning Together อย่างชัดเจน อีกทั้งผู้เรียนได้สืบค้นข้อมูล และสร้างองค์ความรู้ได้ด้วยตนเอง ซึ่งเป็นกระบวนการหนึ่งของการเรียนรู้โครงงานเป็นฐาน และการเรียนรู้แบบร่วมมือด้วยเทคนิค Learning Together
