dc.description.abstractThis paper on visual art creation entitled The Light of Hope is inspired by ancient Chinese trade through ships. This study aimed to Learn the content related to hope in life and how to connect light with hope and to create with different materials and try different techniques. The scope of conceptual creation of the study was Conduct research through content, form and technical techniques. The forms of the creation work included draw, Installation art and Mixed technique, and the techniques were Installation art. This creative work was conducted by the data collected from the conditions of the environment, the data from related documents, and the data about the creation of influential visual arts. The researcher analyzed the data to find the clarity of the theme, symbolic form, and creation techniques. There were four artistic works with unique characteristics. The results of the study and creation revealed that, Through the installation art method, many small light bulbs are used to decorate the structure of ancient Chinese sailing ships. The ship is installed in the air in a dark area, and installed in a floating state to express and create a hopeful life. Businessmen want their products to be loved by people. Migrants want a stable land. However, a boat floating aimlessly in the air can give people a sense of instability, and it also expresses the meaning of instability in the lives of Chinese Americans who drift outside. In conclusion, this work has done some research through the author's collection of data and the combination of personal experience and living environment, aiming to create by using different materials, selecting different environments and different performance techniques. In this process, we found that the core point is how to combine elements that fit with the environment to express the results of good hopes, we also made many different attempts to finally present the installation works. It is hoped that this study can leave some inspiration for later people, including the understanding of hope, the understanding of light, and the combination of hope, light and our materials to better express. It is also hoped that those who conduct research on similar topics in the future can get some inspiration from this research material, and can carry out innovative research from other perspectives or methods.en
