The Development of Studying KWL Plus Learning Activities with Multimedia on English Reading Comprehension of the Mattayomsuksa 5 Students

Abstract

The purposes of this research were: 1) develop the learning management of English comprehension reading ability through the KWL Plus technique with multimedia of Matthayomsuksa 5 students with the E1/E2 = 75/75, 2) to compare the learning achievement in English Reading Comprehension of students before and after learning through KWL-Plus technique with multimedia for Mathayomsuksa 5. The sample of the study through the simple random sample consisted of 40 Mathayomsuksa 5 in Wapipathum School in the second semester of the 2022 academic year. The instruments used for this study consisted of 6 lesson plans from KWL Plus with multimedia, the English reading comprehension test with 30 choices. The statistics used were mean, average, and standard deviation, and t-test.

The results were as follows:

1. The efficiency of the learning management of English reading comprehension through the KWL Plus technique with multimedia of Matthayomsuksa 5 students were 80.11/80.75 which was in accordance with the required criterion of 75/75.

2. The students who learned management of English comprehension reading ability through the KWL Plus technique with multimedia by the test analysis significantly higher than before learning at the level of .05.

การวิจัยในครั้งนี้มีความมุ่งหมาย 1) เพื่อพัฒนากิจกรรมการเรียนรู้แบบ KWL-Plus ร่วมกับสื่อมัลติมีเดียที่ส่งเสริมทักษะการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อความเข้าใจของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 ที่มีประสิทธิภาพตามเกณฑ์ 75/75 2) เพื่อเปรียบเทียบทักษะการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อความเข้าใจของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 ระหว่างก่อนและหลังเรียนการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้แบบ KWL-Plus ร่วมกับสื่อมัลติมีเดียของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการวิจัยครั้งนี้ได้แก่ นักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 โรงเรียนวาปีปทุม จังหวัดมหาสารคาม สำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษามัธยมศึกษา เขต 2 อำเภอวาปีปทุม จังหวัดมหาสารคาม จำนวน 40 คน ซึ่งได้มาโดยการสุ่มแบบกลุ่ม (Cluster Random Sampling) เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการศึกษาประกอบด้วย 1) แผนการจัดการเรียนรู้ด้วยกิจกรรมการสอนแบบ KWL Plus ร่วมกับสื่อมัลติมีเดีย จำนวน 6 แผน 2) แบบทดสอบวัดความเข้าใจในการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 เป็นแบบทดสอบปรนัย ชนิดเลือกตอบ 4 ตัวเลือก จำนวน 30 ข้อ สถิติที่ใช้ได้แก่ ร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐานและสถิติทดสอบสมมติฐานใช้ t-test (Dependent Samples)

ผลการวิจัยพบว่า

1. การจัดการเรียนรู้ด้วยกิจกรรมการสอนแบบ KWL Plus เพื่อพัฒนาความสามารถการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อความเข้าใจของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 มีประสิทธิภาพ E1/E2 เท่ากับ 80.11/80.75 ซึ่งสูงกว่าเกณฑ์ที่ตั้งไว้คือ 75/75

2. นักเรียนมีคะแนนทักษะทางการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อความเข้าใจที่เรียนโดยกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้ด้วย KWL Plus ร่วมกับสื่อมัลติมีเดียหลังเรียนสูงกว่าก่อนเรียน มีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05
