Development of Learning Achievement and Motivation in Learning Mathematics of Grade 10 Students by Cooperative Learning

Abstract

This research aims; (1) Develop the academic achievement in mathematics of Grade 10 students by organizing cooperative learning activities, with the goal of students passing the criteria of 70 percent. (2) Study the motivation for studying mathematics among Grade 10 students through cooperative learning activities. The target group consists of 40 Grade 10 students during the second semester of the 2023 academic year at Sarakham Pittayakhom School, under the Mahasarakham Secondary Educational Service Area Office. The tools used in this research include: (1) A plan for organizing twelve cooperative learning activities. (2) A mathematics achievement test on the topic of logarithmic functions. (3) A measure of mathematics learning motivation. (4) A diary form. Statistical methods used in the research include percentages, means, and standard deviations. For qualitative data, content analysis was employed, and the action research model was divided into three circuits. Research Results:

Cycle 1 organized cooperative learning activities using TAI techniques. There were 13 target students who passed the 70% criteria, accounting for 32.50%, and 27 students who did not pass the 67.50% criteria, and the students had energy. Motivation to study mathematics is at a moderate level. The average is 3.46.

Cycle 2 organized cooperative learning activities using the STAD technique. There were 22 students in the target group who passed the 70% criteria, accounting for 55%, and there were 18 students who did not pass the 45% criteria and the students had energy. Motivation to study mathematics is at a high level. The average is 4.24.

Cycle 3 organized cooperative learning activities using the Think Pair Share technique. There were 39 students in the target group who passed the 70% criteria, accounting for 97.50%, and 1 student who did not pass the criteria, accounting for 2.50%. and students are motivated to study mathematics at a high level has an average of 4.46

In summary, after the operating cycle is completed There were 39 students whose mathematics achievement passed the criteria of 70%, accounting for 97.50% of the target group of students. As for the 1 student who did not pass the criteria, accounting for 2.50% of the target group of students. and students are motivated to study mathematics at a high level.

การวิจัยเชิงปฏิบัติการครั้งนี้มีจุดมุ่งหมายเพื่อ (1) พัฒนาผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียนคณิตศาสตร์ ของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 4 ด้วยการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้แบบร่วมมือ ให้ผ่านเกณฑ์ร้อยละ 70 (2) ศึกษาแรงจูงใจในการเรียนคณิตศาสตร์ ของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 4 ด้วยการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้แบบร่วมมือ กลุ่มเป้าหมาย นักเรียนระดับชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 4 จำนวน 40 คน ภาคเรียนที่ 2 ปีการศึกษา 2566 โรงเรียนสารคามพิทยาคม สำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษามัธยมศึกษามหาสารคาม เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย ได้แก่ (1) แผนการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้แบบร่วมมือ จำนวน 12 แผน (2) แบบทดสอบวัดผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียนคณิตศาสตร์ เรื่อง ฟังก์ชันลอการิทึม (3) แบบวัดแรงจูงใจในการเรียนคณิตศาสตร์ (4) แบบบันทึกอนุทิน สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิจัย ได้แก่ ร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย และส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน ส่วนข้อมูลเชิงคุณภาพใช้การวิเคราะห์เนื้อหา (content analysis) และการวิจัยเชิงปฏิบัติการแบ่งออกเป็น 3 วงจรปฏิบัติการ ซึ่งได้ผลการวิจัยในแต่ละวงจรปฏิบัติการ ดังนี้

วงจรปฏิบัติการที่ 1 จัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้แบบร่วมมือ โดยใช้เทคนิค TAI มีนักเรียนกลุ่มเป้าหมายที่ผ่านเกณฑ์ร้อยละ 70 จำนวน 13 คน คิดเป็นร้อยละ 32.50 และมีนักเรียนที่ไม่ผ่านเกณฑ์ร้อยละ 67.50 จำนวน 27 คน และนักเรียนมีแรงจูงใจในการเรียนคณิตศาสตร์อยู่ในระดับปานกลาง ค่าเฉลี่ยเท่ากับ 3.46

วงจรปฏิบัติการที่ 2 จัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้แบบร่วมมือ โดยใช้เทคนิค STAD มีนักเรียนกลุ่มเป้าหมายที่ผ่านเกณฑ์ร้อยละ 70 จำนวน 22 คน คิดเป็นร้อยละ 55 และมีนักเรียนที่ไม่ผ่านเกณฑ์ร้อยละ 45 จำนวน 18 คน และนักเรียนมีแรงจูงใจในการเรียนคณิตศาสตร์อยู่ในระดับมาก ค่าเฉลี่ยเท่ากับ 4.24

วงจรปฏิบัติการที่ 3 จัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้แบบร่วมมือ โดยใช้เทคนิค Think Pair Share มีนักเรียนกลุ่มเป้าหมายที่ผ่านเกณฑ์ร้อยละ 70 จำนวน 39 คน คิดเป็นร้อยละ 97.50 และมีนักเรียนที่ไม่ผ่านเกณฑ์จำนวน 1 คน คิดเป็นร้อยละ 2.50 และนักเรียนมีแรงจูงใจในการเรียนคณิตศาสตร์อยู่ในระดับมาก มีค่าเฉลี่ยเท่ากับ 4.46

โดยสรุปหลังจบวงจรปฏิบัติการ นักเรียนมีผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียนคณิตศาสตร์ที่ผ่านเกณฑ์ร้อยละ 70 จำนวน 39 คน คิดเป็นร้อยละ 97.50 ของนักเรียนกลุ่มเป้าหมาย ส่วนนักเรียนที่ไม่ผ่านเกณฑ์จำนวน 1 คน คิดเป็นร้อยละ 2.50 ของนักเรียนกลุ่มเป้าหมาย และนักเรียนมีแรงจูงใจในการเรียนคณิตศาสตร์อยู่ในระดับมาก
