Knowledge Management for Home Stay in Maha Sarakham Province to Certify Thailand Home Stay Standard

Abstract

This qualitative research aimed to examine the current conditions and challenges in the operation of culturally immersive rural accommodations in Maha Sarakham Province, which have been certified by the Thai Homestay Standard. It also sought to study the knowledge management practices of these accommodations. Data was collected through semi-structured interviews with 18 participants from two homestay sites certified by the Thai Homestay Standard.

The research findings revealed that Tidonnoi Homestay and Ban Nong Hin Homestay, which practice organic farming, implemented a six-step knowledge management process. These steps included: (1) Knowledge Identification, (2) Knowledge Acquisition/Creation and Search, (3) New Knowledge Development, (4) Knowledge Transfer/Dissemination, (5) Knowledge Storage, and (6) Knowledge Utilization. Additionally, the assessment of the appropriateness level of the knowledge management process showed an overall high suitability (x̅ = 4.74) When analyzed by individual steps, Step 5: Knowledge Storage had the highest suitability (x̅ = 5.00), followed by Step 2: Knowledge Acquisition/Creation and Search (x̅ = 4.83), Step 6: Knowledge Utilization (x̅ = 4.76), Step 3: Knowledge Developmentand (x̅ = 4.58), Step 4: Knowledge Transfer/Dissemination (x̅ = 4.71), and Step 1: Knowledge Identification (x̅ = 4.50).

Knowledge management helps communities systematically improve and develop in alignment with tourists' needs. It also supports sustainable enhancement of homestays, ensuring they continue to meet and maintain certification standards.

งานวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพเรื่องนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาสภาพปัจจุบันและปัญหาของการดำเนินงานของที่พักแบบสัมผัสวัฒนธรรมชนบท ในจังหวัดมหาสารคามที่ได้รับรองมาตรฐานโฮมสเตย์ไทย และเพื่อศึกษาการจัดการความรู้ของที่พักแบบสัมผัสวัฒนธรรมชนบท ในจังหวัดมหาสารคามที่ได้รับรองมาตรฐานโฮมสเตย์ไทย โดยเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลด้วยวิธีการสัมภาษณ์แบบกึ่งโครงสร้าง กลุ่มตัวอย่างโฮมสเตย์ที่ผ่านการรับรองมาตรฐานโฮมสเตย์ไทย 2 แห่ง จำนวน 18 คน

ผลการวิจัยพบว่า ไทดงน้อย โฮมสเตย์ และบ้านหนองหินโฮมสเตย์ วิถีเกษตรอินทรีย์ มีกระบวนการจัดการความรู้ 6 ขั้นตอน ได้แก่ ขั้นตอนที่ 1 การกำหนดความรู้/การบ่งชี้ความรู้ ขั้นตอนที่ 2 การจัดหาความรู้/การสร้างและแสวงหาความรู้ ขั้นตอนที่ 3 การพัฒนาความรู้ใหม่ ขั้นตอนที่ 4 การถ่ายทอดความรู้/การเผยแพร่ความรู้ ขั้นตอนที่ 5 การจัดเก็บความรู้ และขั้นตอนที่ 6 การนำความรู้ไปใช้ นอกจากนี้ยังพบว่า แบบประเมินระดับความเหมาะสมของกระบวนการจัดการความรู้ โดยภาพรวมมีความเหมาะสมอยู่ในระดับมากที่สุด (x̅ = 4.74) โดยจำแนกเป็นรายขั้นตอน พบว่า ขั้นตอนที่ 5 การจัดเก็บความรู้ มีความเหมาะสมอยู่ในระดับมากที่สุด (x̅ = 5.00) ขั้นตอนที่ 2 การจัดหาความรู้/การสร้างและแสวงหาความรู้ มีความเหมาะสมอยู่ในระดับมากที่สุด (x̅ = 4.83) ขั้นตอนที่ 6 การนำความรู้ไปใช้ มีความเหมาะสมอยู่ในระดับมากที่สุด (x̅ = 4.76) ขั้นตอนที่ 4 การถ่ายทอดความรู้/การเผยแพร่ความรู้ มีความเหมาะสมอยู่ในระดับมากที่สุด (x̅ = 4.71) ขั้นตอนที่ 3 การพัฒนาความรู้ใหม่ มีความเหมาะสมอยู่ในระดับมาก (x̅ = 4.58) และขั้นตอนที่ 1 การกำหนดความรู้/การบ่งชี้ความรู้ มีความเหมาะสมอยู่ในระดับมาก (x̅ = 4.50) ตามลำดับ

การจัดการความรู้จะช่วยให้ชุมชนสามารถพัฒนาและปรับปรุงได้อย่างเป็นระบบและสอดคล้องกับความต้องการของนักท่องเที่ยว และสามารถนำไปใช้ในการปรับปรุงโฮมสเตย์ให้ผ่านการประเมินและได้รับมาตรฐานอย่างยั่งยืน
