Buddhist Ethics of Characters in Wannakadee Wijak Textbook of Mattayomsueksa 1–6

Abstract

This study aims to study the Buddhist ethics of the characters and the presentation strategies of Buddhist ethics through the characters in the Wannakadee Wijak textbook of Mathayomsueksa 1-6. The study was conducted from 13 works of literature in the Wannakadee Wijak textbook, with 39 characters. The data were analyzed using qualitative research methods with the concepts of Buddhist ethics theory and the concepts of presentation strategies. The research results were presented in a descriptive and analytical format.

The results of the study found that the Buddhist ethics of the characters in the Wannakadee Wijak textbook for Mathayomsueksa 1-6 appeared in 2 categories: Category 1, morality, consisting of basic morality, middle morality, and high morality; and Category 2, ethics, consisting of personal development ethics, family development ethics, and social development ethics.

The strategies for presenting Buddhist ethics through characters in the Wannakadee Wijak textbook for Mathayomsueksa 1-6 show 4 strategies: the strategy for presenting Buddhist ethics through the dialogues of the characters, the strategy for presenting Buddhist ethics through the behaviors of the characters, the strategy for presenting Buddhist ethics through the perspectives of the characters, and the strategy for presenting Buddhist ethics through the conclusions of the characters. All 4 presentation strategies help support the Buddhist ethics of the characters in the Wannakadee Wijak textbook to be more clearly presented and can be well communicated to learners according to the objectives of the Basic Education Core Curriculum B.E. 2551 as specified.

การศึกษาครั้งนี้มีจุดมุ่งหมายเพื่อศึกษาพุทธจริยศาสตร์ของตัวละคร กลวิธีการนำเสนอพุทธจริยศาสตร์ผ่านตัวละครในหนังสือเรียนวรรณคดีวิจักษ์ ระดับชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 1 – 6 โดยศึกษาจากวรรณคดีวรรณกรรมที่ปรากฏในหนังสือเรียนรายวิชาพื้นฐานภาษาไทยวรรณคดีวิจักษ์จำนวนทั้งสิ้น 13 เรื่อง และจำนวนตัวละคร 39 ตัวละคร วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้ระเบียบวิธีวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพด้วยแนวคิดทฤษฎีเกี่ยวกับพุทธจริยศาสตร์และแนวคิดเกี่ยวกับกลวิธีการนำเสนอ และนำเสนอผลการวิจัยในรูปแบบการพรรณนาวิเคราะห์

ผลการศึกษาพบว่า พุทธจริยศาสตร์ของตัวละครในหนังสือเรียนวรรณคดีวิจักษ์ ระดับชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 1– 6 ปรากฏ 2 หมวด ได้แก่ หมวดที่ 1 ศีลธรรม ประกอบด้วย ศีลธรรมระดับเบื้องต้น ศีลธรรมระดับกลาง และศีลธรรมระดับสูง และหมวดที่ 2 จริยธรรม ประกอบด้วย จริยธรรมระดับพัฒนาตน จริยธรรมระดับพัฒนาครอบครัว และจริยธรรมระดับพัฒนาสังคม

กลวิธีการนำเสนอพุทธจริยศาสตร์ผ่านตัวละครในหนังสือเรียนวรรณคดีวิจักษ์ ระดับชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 1–6 ปรากฏ 4 กลวิธี ได้แก่ กลวิธีการนำเสนอพุทธจริยศาสตร์ผ่านบทสนทนาของตัวละคร กลวิธีการนำเสนอพุทธจริยศาสตร์ผ่านพฤติกรรมของตัวละคร กลวิธีการนำเสนอ พุทธจริยศาสตร์ผ่านทรรศนะของตัวละคร และกลวิธีการนำเสนอพุทธจริยศาสตร์ผ่านบทสรุปของ ตัวละครซึ่งกลวิธีการนำเสนอทั้ง 4 กลวิธีช่วยสนับสนุนให้พุทธจริยศาสตร์ของตัวละครในหนังสือเรียน วรรณคดีวิจักษ์เกิดภาพที่ชัดเจนมากขึ้น และสามารถสื่อความหมายถึงผู้เรียนได้เป็นอย่างดีตาม จุดมุ่งหมายของหลักสูตรแกนกลางการศึกษาขั้นพื้นฐาน พุทธศักราช 2551 ที่กำหนดไว้
